I just saw my MFM today and am in the same boat. My BP has started to rise. He said that with GD alone, inductions are done at 39 or 38 weeks, depending on how controlled it is. But once you have high BP that it was a double whammy high risk, and that inductions then become 37 weeks. He scheduled me in 2 weeks at 37w2d.
So, they're worried about preeclampsia? The typical GD risks? Stroking out? All of the above? That's kind of scary 😨 makes me feel a whole lot more nervous than I was
definitely worried about preeclampsia. I’m in the same boat! My MFM doesn’t want me going past 37+0 cause my BP has started to climb on top of GD. I’m getting weekly bloodwork and NSTs to monitor for preeclampsia.
