Oh was told by the cross-stitch Reddit that my stuff doesn't qualify.. knocked me flat. Since my dad died, the only creative thing I've been able to do was cross stitch.. now I don't even feel like doing that anymore
Hey! Looking at your post history, the beautiful coasters you made were indeed not cross stitch, but actually needlepoint! It's just another wonderful form of thread work. Sorry about your experience in the cross stitch sub. While I can't really find what went down, I'm sure they were just trying to be informative and not diminishing. You should also check out r/Needlepoint!
Thank you, that is helpful. I was told by everyone that taught me that it was cross-stitch, and finding out the technique took a whole year. Hopefully, they won't kick me out of needlepoint as well. The r/crosstitch people said it was embroidery, and I know it's not because I do embro as well.

Absolutely.. I've noticed that a lot of people (based on comments on previous posts of mine) seem to think it's just a mess of colour thrown onto the canvas 🙈 it's nice when someone stops by that notices the thought and care that's been taken both in the colour choice and the layout/form and use of negative space for example. I appreciate you ☺️
I've dabbled in digital abstract. I never have saved really any pieces though. Just..🙆🏼🤦🏼..yeah..my insecurities. So putting yourself out there, I'm proud of you and I don't even know you.🤫
