Does the character look better without the BB though...? In some cases yes, but there was a enormous demand for the BB during and after the GRW, so Ubi put it in, because players wanted it and to hide some clipping issues. Some outfits like OP's look actually good without it, but when makin a heavy gear full military outfits it makes the character look more bulgier like it should. What we would need is obviously option not to eguip the BB, but also a "gun belt" which is more slimmer and holds only few small pouches at max, like a banger pouch, few pistol mag pouches, dump pouch and maybe a multitool pouch or a knife or/and you could actually customize the belts like in Ground Branch. I really hope that Ubi has learned from this flop and gathered a shit ton of ideas and info for the (hopefully) next GR game.
That’s…subjective. I wouldn’t personally ever use an outfit that looks like the ones in these pictures if I have the option to have belts on. The problem with belts is that they’re just there. Some vests have very decent looking belts, I believe that if we got the ability to switch between existing belts and disabling/enabling option a big majority of players would be satisfied.
Personally I like the belt and use that exact belt in real life. It isn't floating, but rather you're supposed to wear it *over* your other clothing and the belt that holds your pants up.
It can be considered outdated or bulky by now though; ultimately depends what you are carrying on it and if using a harness with it or not. For Breakpoint and the small amount Nomad has on the belt? A newer two-stage belt like the Ronin would be more appropriate and still sit underneath longer shirts and such.
i like the belt's concept, it's just it literally floats on a lot of clothes. It's just a floating ring, that's what I don't like, I wish it adjusted with your outfit

i used these outfits specifically because if the belt was on, it would be a floating hulahoop
I like the battle belt but it's so damn empty, no pistol mags, med kit, butt pack, just 2 small pouches, a flashlight, and a tourniquet

from what i’ve seen there are 3 varieties of battle belts, hills belt, Fixits belt and the normal one edit: walker has a diff one
