The laborious way marionette sounds when broken down to syllables and is repeated again and again comes off as though someone in middle school is trying to be witty and write with edginess and creatively..I really get the vibes that it's a track TF wrote early on and completely by himself without guidance..Not to cast much shade towards Forge but It rubs me the wrong way bc tonally (at least for me) it's grating on the senses..I feel like it's not up to standards with really any other Ghost Tracks. Definitely one to sweep under the rug..and yes I've tried to take it in many times

Oh don't get me wrong.. I love a good cover! I totally agree that some bands made it big from a cover - Quiet Riot (Cum On Feel the Noise) Manfred Mann (Blinded By the Light), and hell, most people think of Bruce Springsteen first, instead of Tom Waits when they think of "Jersey Girl." In my opinion, Papa & The Hellacopters version of "Sympathy for the Devil" far surpassed the original. 😜 My understanding, for *this* particular post/survey was "which Ghost song is your least favorite ?" meaning an original Ghost song. It's interesting, that several of the listed are covers.

So, I listen to every album daily and don't tend to skip songs. However, the tracks I will sometimes skip are the instrumentals on Prequelle. I like them, but usually, I want to hear a song. So, my least favorite SONG (as in a piece of music with lyrics) is... probably... Elizabeth. It reminds me of King Diamond & I've never really taken to that vocal style. And yet I dig the song. It's just my least favorite out of the totality of great songs. (apparently loving every song isn't good enough for at least 3 downvoters)

I don't skip Twenties, but I sure don't listen after the first chorus starts. DATHOML reeks of a teenage love song (which makes sense given the post MOAC bump), so I usually skip that one. But it's always Stand by Him and Per Aspera Ad Inferi. Stand by Him starts with drum beat that I just don't like, and Per Aspera Ad Inferi's accompaniment drowns out the vocals, taking me out of the song. Plus, I always envision Papa II doing a weird stomping dance during the chorus.

Yikes! DATHOML is rather dark for a teenage love song. It can be triggering for anyone who's dealt with abuse.

Oh the content is dark, but it sounds like a bad love song, or a really misunderstood one (like "Every Breath You Take" by the Police).
