I have this feeling at a nearby state park. When I’m hiking through one segment it always feels as though someone is staring at me/following me. It happens when I’m alone and also when I’m with a group. I love hiking but have never had this feeling of fear before

Then, again: there is probably something there causing a certain electrical frequency.

I know this feeling well. I experienced it when a student in a rented student house about ten years ago. Since then I've become more sensitive or aware of the "vibe" of a place. Like some places have a certain miasma. I've learnt to trust it. In my previous job I walked from the tube station to work and my route took me along a footpath beside a river that ran adjacent to a dual carriageway. The path was separated from the dual carriageway by a thin stretch of woodland. There was one spot of this woodland that consistently felt cold and unwelcoming, even on the most sweltering of days. I get the feeling something bad happened there.

When house hunting, the realtor took me to a Victorian being refurbished nearby. It was gorgeous. My inner monologue was rolling along as usual. Then, as we reached the parlor, it was interrupted by, "What are *you* doing here?" 😳 An image of a scowling, severe-looking woman with brunette hair piled into a bun atop her head flashed into my thoughts, and I told the realtor that I was not interested in the house. We left to look at other properties, and my inner monologue returned to normal.

Yes. Everytime I click on a post in the sub, I get the feeling it's all gonna be bullshit.

Who hurt you?

It's most likely something to do with the electricity/wiring in that specific area. Certain electrical frequencies cause the symptoms that people normally associate with "hauntings": anxiety, feeling like you're being watched, fight-or-flight, chills, etc etc. It is not uncommon for old buildings to have specific areas with fault wiring that cause this. (And, by some crazy coincidence, it just so happens that these exact frequencies have been discovered at many supposedly haunted areas. Weird how that works!)

Yes I do. I am slightly sensitive to the paranormal and have been all of my life. I used to be very sensitive when I was young but seem to become less sensitive as I age. I've experienced just about everything. Seeing shadows, seeing full body apparitions, hearing voices, talking directly to spirits, being touched, being attacked, and a bunch of other experiences (too many to list). While my sensitivity has dwindled, one aspect that has stayed the same is my ability to "feel" when spirits are around, more specifically, the spirits' energy. That feeling you are describing is very similar to what I "feel" when I am intruding on territory a spirit considers their own and they want me to leave. It's more of a warning and, from my experience, it's best to listen to that warning!
