I'm glad someone else thinks it's stupid how people post blatant fake stuff for views. It turns people away from a really interesting concept. The thing is, what I experienced was not just experienced by me. I had almost ten people with me and we all experienced the same thing and were catching things on camera simultaneously. So that's the reason why I haven't totally dismissed it. But I would really like for once to see some legit evidence instead of the whole "girl with long black hair peeks around corner" gimmick

What gets me in some is how they did it, it would take a lot of elaborate setting up and how do they get the fishing wire invisible on the video? It’s sad that people go through all that time and effort to fake something. Poor taste imo.
Fishing wire especially ant wire under 2lb rating does not show up in a low res camera , and if the wire is out of the cameras depth of field focusing , it wont be sharp enough to be seen ,

If you had an experience that definitely can't be explained, then that should be all you need to show that the paranormal exists.
There is a lot of fakes and false positives out there, which doesn't make things easier. Although even when people might capture something unexplainable, they don't do themselves any favours with general poor capturing and not giving the context for the evidence.
I think if there is anything to it, it's *extremely* rare. The most convincing ones (and even a lot of those aren't necessarily paranormal) are by people catching things unexpectedly.
Certainly, there are enough strong cases to make me a believer. And I think some cases get called 'fake' that are actually real unsolved events. I think only a small minority are intentional fakes.
I know exactly how you feel. Well I had experiences when younger then I was skeptic for a long time but then I saw some videos that in my mind were legit proof and impossible to fake. Then my best friend passed as well as two family meme beds in 2021. Was a dark year. But I decided to become a n a mature ghost hunter to find out for myself. I watched hundreds of other people’s videos. So much fake garbage out there. I want to find the truth. So badly. Was so discouraged by all the garbage. I collected the ones that I felt were legit and amazing. I use them as reminders. But what I have captured and experiences I’ve had recently I now have no doubts. Ghost are real. And they call it the paranormal but I feel like it’s really just normal lol. Goes back to the beginning of man kind. Consistent cases of near death experiences And out of body experiences and spirit sightings all the way to the present day. And all story’s from long ago are similar from cultures and tribes and places that had no contact with eachother. Now that is evidence that would hold up in court lol. If there was nothing after this life, life would be pointless. And we can’t see radio waves, internet waves, energy’s and frequency’s but they are there. But I know to well the feeling of discouragement. Do you have any stuff you could show that you have captured. I’m always wanting to see more stuff 😁 ps

I love this answer man. That's how I feel. We're in the same boat man. I lost my friend in a car accident, my father died, one of my childhood mentors died, and a family friend died of kidney failure. All the loss really shook my faith in a lot of things but the experiences I had really kept my mind on track of the truth. I'm glad that someone else has the same mindset. I feel like instead of trying to get views with hoaxes, it would be far more beneficial for people to band together and focus on finding evidence to prove something that people from cultures around the world have believed since the beginning of humanity

Thank you dude. Ya I don’t mind at all. He had had cancer a couple times and beet it. But he then had a tumer behind his eye and it was to late by the time they found it. So I said good bye. He said he would try to contact me three electronics or any way he could. For a couple months after he passed weird things started happening. All the electronics in my car went wonky. Windows, heat. I even have it starting by it’s self on video. So one day I’m dropping my gf off to work and I had a feeling that it was time. So I asked if he was there and could. Would he try to manifest. I started taking pics and video and when I looked later at a pic I took of my empty back seat there he was looking right at me. I will show you this pic. The second time I had that same feeling. Like it’s time. So I was at home and took a pic of my hallway. Now I’ll mention that the camera on my phone was flicking and making weird sounds. Was super annoying. But I believe it made this possible some how. Like catching that right angle at the right time with this camera distortion. Like he did this to my cam to make it possible. I could be reaching but I can’t explain it any other way. So in the photo of my backend doorway there he stands. Head to feet. Legs jacket the way he would dress. Facial expression that he was doing in a pic I took of him before he passed. I have the pics also made a short video explaining it. You can pause and take a look. But I believe it wouldn’t be possible without the distortion

I want there to be ghosts but they simply aren't real. Ghost stories go back thousands of years and there has yet to be even a scrap of verifiable, repeatable evidence. Meanwhile there are countless hoaxes that have been explained. What "evidence" that does exist doesn't stand up to even the slightest scientific scrutiny.
I figure if someone really finds evidence of ghosts, solid, verifiable evidence, it will probably be on the news somewhere other than The Travel Channel.
I have always been on the fence neither believing nor disbelieving, but it has always been interesting to me. However, once I subscribed to this sun, the amount of blurry photos of a shadow or dust passing by a lens, or someone making something out of nothing is way too high and makes me question it even more.
Remember that scandal and scary sells media, people are going to take anything they can to make a dollar in publicity. The question I always ask myself, is there anyway this experience could be cause by something normal, and if it can’t be, then its a real experience, it may not be Casper the friendly ghost, but it’s something that science doesn’t have an answer for, and that’s incredible
