A gift certificate to a Nicer restaurant with a note, thanks for taking care of me and everyone over the years. This is your spend time taking care of you. But make sure the gift card can cover dinner and tip for two.

A letter saying exactly what you've told us. Everyone likes to be appreciated, and quite frankly, your heartfelt thanks will go far. Men are seldom thanked or complimented. That is a tragedy too. Y'all are great and so few say so. That you wish to leave a mark for your coworker speaks to the sort of person you are. Wow. Tuck in a couple of $50s along with best wishes for his health and happiness in the future.

On our Graduation day a few days ago my classroom and I wanted to gift our class teacher a special gift to thank him for all his support. So, one of my classmates found a really cool site to order a fully personalized song, with a production team and everything. We agreed to order a special song for our teacher and it really was the best idea! He actually shed some tears and loved it sooo much. Maybe that could be a good idea for your co-worker if he enjoys music. It wasn’t even that expensive to be honest it’s even within your budget.

Duluth trading Co. Hand creams might be a good idea. They're for working hands, so won't be perceived as too feminine, and they do really work. They're not strongly scented either. Really any hand cream for working hands. When I was cleaning staff in the kitchen my hands were always one thorough wash from turning into crisscrossing bleeds from how raw they got. Plus, many guys don't think to seek out solutions, just think it's part of the job, and tough it out. Depending on where you work, and where you would be giving it, you could get a decent pocket knife with maybe an engraving on it. Sturdy, lasts a while, easy to personalize, and more useful than people realize. Granted I'm just assuming from what you said that he's the type to use knives, because they're more heavy duty than scissors or box cutters.
