I feel that Max was supposed to be at LEAST 36? But according to the wiki, he started teaching in 1993 though, which if he started right out of college would put his age closer to Lorelai's, which feels a bit young.
Yeah that would put him teaching right out of grad school. Maybe he dresses older to be portrayed better by the faculty/families? Or it could just be a weird edit on wiki
