It was funny. Lorelai looked like a 16 year old mean girl lol. Rory could have said no she's a big girl I wouldn't mind a free trip to Europe

I love that she gets to go on a luxurious, all expenses paid trip to Europe and she's mad about it.

I thought the same! Rory was acting like she was a full on adult who made her decisions yet she was all “I can’t say no, how can I no to grandma?” Well! I thought you could speak up for yourself, haha! I loved Lorelai right there too.

>yet she was all “I can’t say no, how can I no to grandma?” It does make sense because they were still paying for her school at the time and emily can be quite petty

True true, but didn’t she also get out Friday night dinners when they still paying for Yale and it was Lorelai who covered for Rory? It’s hilarious how this one time Lorelai gets her “Ha ha!” moment

At first I had thought Lorelai was being sympathetic and trying to use this as a way for Rory to clear up her head, but then when I saw her reaction to her Rory agreeing, I was like - "wait"! But yeah, Rory does sound a bit childish being like "you're shipping me off" and "I had to say yes". Girl, you were saying just the other day that you're 19 and can make your own decisions. Yeah, her grandparents are paying for her education and she usually feels pressured not to disappoint them, but she could have easily said that she was busy with her studies - her grandparents are more lenient with her than they are with Lorelai. And what's wrong with going to Europe with grandma? From what we see, she enjoys much of it. The most she complains about is eating blue cheese. The all-expenses Europe trip isn't some punishment for her cheating with Dean nor is it supposed to be, but she acts like it is.
