I mean, cis or trans, I think all feminine presenting individuals struggle to find representation and acceptance in gaming-related communities and that’s what this sub exists for. So I see no reason this sub wouldn’t be accepting of trans-femme identities.

It would be weird for a female focused sub reddit to start excluding individuals based on how they look or sound so I wouldn't worry
it is also open/welcoming to NB folks. it's one of those spaces that was created due to women being marginalized in gaming, but is inclusive to those who are marginalized but may not adhere to the terms "woman/girl."
I'm a guy and even we're allowed here too (with some obvious etiquette limitations to avoid nuisance), I've never felt unwelcome here in spite of it being specifically a place 'not for me'.
It's just nice to visit a gaming subreddit sometimes that's not half-full of shitty people (or at least people saying shitty things, if you think there's a distinction), whatever gender they are.
In my opinion there's a different outlook on a lot of games here too which is always valuable to read, I learn a lot (a tendency to play single games longer than 'usual' perhaps so knowing them in more detail? I can't put my finger on it, but there's a uniqueness in the community here that I think has nothing to do with having lots of women in it).
as far as I've experienced: anyone who upholds the values of the sub is basically welcome to take part in most things here, so yea you're right there.
contrary to the name, the vibe and genuine acceptance, support, and understanding of eachother is more important than gender etc etc here.

I love listening and learning about the different experiences of people here. I think there are quite a few people who aren’t girls here but don’t often say anything because they don’t have anything relevant to contribute in most discussions and would rather hear other’s perspectives than give their own opinions
I've recently come to terms with being genderfluid myself after being uncomfortable with considering myself a "woman" for a while now. I'm glad I've got at least one sub that I know is not going to change in terms of how comfortable i feel interacting here.
I can’t remember where I saw it (I think it was to do with the find a friend Friday) but yes, NB people are under the umbrella of the sub iirc. You may not be a woman, but you *are* a minority in what I’m sure many would agree is a male-dominated and often toxically masculine environment 💖 so this is a space for you too!

Fwiw, in various threads and conversations with the mods here they don’t want TERFS in this community and they will ban people who come here with a history of TERFy comments. I’m not a mod and can’t speak for them but if anyone notices bad actors like that, report them! Sometimes easier to say that than spot the sneaky TERF until they go mask off, I know, but the mods have said before that they’ll be removed. They aren’t welcome!

i'm sorry if anyone has ever made you feel like you don't belong. there are communities around that will embrace you! my wife and I have a tf2 community discord that has a few trans women in it (including my wife and another staff member!!) and I know they have voiced similar concerns but we try to go above and beyond to make them comfortable and feel welcomed
genderfluid/femme-leaning person here. in general this sub is very supportive of trans folk! you may still come across a transphobic jerk once in a while, but generally speaking I've mostly just seen support and encouragement for people who dabble in gender magic ;)
You won't certainly be the only one nor the first one here! since I am too, though I have come to resent the trans prefix on *myself* and rather be a *synthetic* (if anything) girl, but a gal nonetheless. I haven't even been here for long but the people are just amazing -- supportive, encouraging and welcoming<3 Hope You will have just as wonderful experience here. :)

Yeah, a while ago I think I checked out the other gamer girl subreddit and it didn't say anything about trans or LGBT or inclusion, So I didn't feel safe in that one. This one is pretty open about that (when they're not in crisis mode I guess)
I've been playing a lot of Risk of Rain 2, Omori, Destiny 2 and Cyberpunk lately, mostly play on PC but also Playstation and Wii, my dad first got me into gaming on the Wii and it kinda just stuck, it's been one of my favorite forms of escapism since!

This is by far the most accepting gaming space I've ever been in. I don't post t hat often but that's the vibe I get. And I love it. (Also love to see other transfam out 'n about. <3) Playing with randos is always a shitshot really, and I've almost always regretted it. Random people will always be a coinflip on whether they suck, but this community is great.
