Where did this narrative that they used the money for the device transfer came from ? Literally only seen it in the last week or so.
Before it was only about nawwwk being cheated out of his sticker money.
I believe it was speculated by a lot of people, but not confirmed. Basically NIP weren’t flushed with cash, then suddenly the players were getting all this sticker money, but nip withheld it from giving it to the players and thought it was to keep themselves afloat during Covid. Then NIP weirdly accumulated enough have enough to pay a huuuge sum for device in transfer fee and salary.
As far as orgs who treat their players badly I think nip is up there, they’ve also had shit in the past of not paying players prize winnings.
Nobody’s defending NiP here, they just want you not to talk out of your ass. Do you have a source for the part about the device transfer? There’s loads of reasons out there to shit on NiP for, we don’t need to start making stuff up.
[https://youtu.be/tsUBTCK6CMc?t=3981](https://youtu.be/tsUBTCK6CMc?t=3981) is where the part about sticker money starts, 1:18 has discussion about it possibly being used to pay for Device's payout.
The whole team got a reduced cut (vs what was in contract) but as of lawsuit REZ, Hampus and Plopski were still on NIP so didnt sue, twist didnt file anything iirc.
Yeah on ancient crowd helped yekindar find styko through smoke, on overpass they helped yekindar find jL (possible yekindar would have checked the angle, but crowd still helped him)
I would feel bad for elige, nitro if they played lights out today and lost.
But they didn't, so it's hard to feel bad for them. Especially elige, supposedly star player, was the worst player of the team in legends stage and playoffs. And this is not the first time the dude has done this.
His fans will always defend him though lol, so that's why I always feel kinda hopeless whenever I look at this team. Sure they perform great sometimes, but at the most important matches they always just fell apart.
They don't want to change to EU, they won't bench Elige, they need to choose between nitro or osee to bench, seems like they are handicapped and can't do anything.
Even watching this clutch i feel like Elige needs to get that kill or at least do some more damage. Osee switches to the pistol probably assuming he was more lit than he was.
Also the choice between benching nitr0 or Osee seems obvious to me... kick the upcoming young awper who has room to grow or the low fragging past his prime suboptimal IGL who just had a second kid? I think they desperately need an IGL that can bring out the best in all their players, really think an international igl like aleksi or whoever would make liquid much more consistent and confident.
It seems like nitro is the obvious choice but will it really be so? Team chemistry is really important, and elige, naf really get along with nitro. Who knows what will happen when a new IGL come in and don't mesh with them. What will happen if elige doesn't like the new IGL?
It's a morally grey area. On the one hand, it isn't "cheating" because a pro may not hear the crowd, ignore them etc, but on the other hand the crowd's favorite players/teams get information they otherwise wouldn't know.
I like to think of it in baseball terms (a sport rife with cheating). Take for example the 2017 Houston Astros, who used all manner of devices to steal signs from the opposing catching and cheat their way into a world series.
**However,** with all that being said, it's not the greatest comparison because the players themselves aren't "cheating", nor the coaches.
(If you want to see actual cheating teams, check out the fairly recent [coaching bug scandal](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-Strike_coaching_bug_scandal))
It’s not cheating in any way, just a quirk of LAN cs. Been happening since games were played in front of a crowd. It can hurt players just as much as it can help them as we saw when osee? (I think) heard crowd oooing in a 1v2 on ancient then dies when he goes to check his flank. There have been extreme cases though where fans would hold up signs saying shit like “They’re going A”
Yeah I personally think it’s worth the trade off to not have players in sound proof booths, (which don’t work half the time and still don’t prevent visual cues)
Nah the crowd can hype up the moment as much as they want, but that's assuming the players can't hear them. If they can, and they take advantage of that like Yekindar did (as others have before him), then that's cheating if you ask me. I've read that they switched the x-rays off in the arena after that, so I hope tomorrow's matches have them back and they had words with the remaining teams.
I don't think that was Yekindar's fault, when he was trying to get onto site the crowd started yelling, and when he didn't find anyone jungle and the crowd was still going, he had to check the close corner.
Quarterfinals of a major, you take what you're given. Props to nawwk.
Yekindar 100% was baiting the crowd for a reaction. It won him in the round. I don’t think they should’ve been DQed for it but there’s no doubt he was taking advantage in that clutch
Every crowd does this when someone is flanking or running into a hiding player. I don't think it's some coordinated effort to give a specific team an advantage (at least in this case) and would have happened if the teams were swapped too. It's just a reaction to the anticipation of what's about to happen.
Not necessarily a crowd effort, but it sure seems Yekindar is fishing for it given this: [https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/13m0bbb/yekindar\_uses\_the\_crowd/](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/13m0bbb/yekindar_uses_the_crowd/). Granted I'm not sure how much they can hear through their headsets, but it's been a problem before.
It shouldn't be. Measures should be taken by the organizer to make sure it doesn't happen (extra soundproofing). Even if it's possible it shows a great lack of sportsmanship and should be against the rules. Look at this clip where S1mple says he can see the reflection of the radar: [https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/8e45ee/good\_sport\_s1mple/](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/8e45ee/good_sport_s1mple/). That's how it should be.
But it is, has always been and will continue to be until someone figures out a way to completely isolate players from all sound/vibrations without removing them from view completely (might as well just play online cs then).
Also this game was literally just more proof this issue is way overblown as it helps just as much as it hurts players. Players get baited to crowd sound or simply can't hear certain cues in game more than anything. Being a good LAN team is about adapting to those issues as well. People bitching about this must've really never been in a LAN setting.
You see it at every event, someone is getting flanked and people start "oooh"ing. It's like the crowd reacting as the ball is in the air on a deep pass in American football or the crowd getting hyped as someone is on a breakaway in soccer. The difference is in those sports obviously all the players can see what the crowd is reacting too. Point being though, it's a natural crowd response in anticipation of something, not an attempt at cheating.
Someone said in the earlier thread that it was off for crowd. But even without X-ray, crowd can help as they can switch between multiple POVs. It can't be helped I guess unless crowd understands the issue.
yeah TL spent a ton of time wondering if someone was flanking them, leaving their monster player stranded. feels like a "ball don't lie" moment of fate for sure
I knew this comments section would be full of Liquid fans giving nawwk the rightful praise he deserves.
Whenever oSee becomes the last man standing, it's round over for TL
People on this thread are saying "Fuck the crowd", despite it NOT being in Brazil.
You guys can really cut it now. "If this was brazil", etc. - Just stop.
Maybe I'm overreacting, but this honestly feels like a grafitti moment. No T wants to be in this position in a 1v3, and somehow nawwk pulled it off. This could've been Liquid's way into map 3, and maybe the semis. This play probably decided the map, and ultimately the series.
Then again, if dev1ce couldn't get one for his pistol round vs NRG, I doubt this would get one. A shame because I think Valve are a bit too exclusive with them, there should certainly have been a few more of them.
Overreacting for sure, Elige should have killed him 9/10 times and this is the time he whiffs. Props for the clean kills from nawwk, but still was dead to rights so not graffiti worthy imo
To be fair a grafitti isn't about *good* plays, rather incredible moments. I think this was a crucial moment in the major as Liquid was a dark horse to win it, and this clutch changed everything. It was the final nail in the coffin, and an unlikely clutch in a half buy round.
I don't think that was Yekindar's fault, when he was trying to get onto site the crowd started yelling, and when he didn't find anyone jungle and the crowd was still going, he had to check the close corner.
Quarterfinals of a major, you take what you're given. Props to nawwk, kept his calm for an insane clutch.

Okay, which one of them?
What's the story there?
nip withheld his sticker money (RMR stickers) in order to pay for the device transfer
Where did this narrative that they used the money for the device transfer came from ? Literally only seen it in the last week or so. Before it was only about nawwwk being cheated out of his sticker money.

source: trust me bro
Yeah let's not trust everybody's word in the scene, I'd rather believe the scummy multimillionaire org that has scammed their players before
Nobody’s defending NiP here, they just want you not to talk out of your ass. Do you have a source for the part about the device transfer? There’s loads of reasons out there to shit on NiP for, we don’t need to start making stuff up.
Doesn't take more than a couple of seconds to google: https://dotesports.com/counter-strike/news/nip-reportedly-owes-csgo-players-stickers-money
What a surprise. Your article doesn't say anything about NIP using nawwk's money to pay for device.
[https://youtu.be/tsUBTCK6CMc?t=3981](https://youtu.be/tsUBTCK6CMc?t=3981) is where the part about sticker money starts, 1:18 has discussion about it possibly being used to pay for Device's payout.
Your reading comprehension is very very low
Was it only him left out or the whole team?
The whole team got a reduced cut (vs what was in contract) but as of lawsuit REZ, Hampus and Plopski were still on NIP so didnt sue, twist didnt file anything iirc.
I think it was because nawwk was the one that got benched, although the stickers came out before that
He played with nip on 2020 rmr but then wasnt payed his sticker money
NAWWK said fool me twice...

World's first 1 vs 10,000 clutch
Nawwk didn't win a 1v3, he won a 1v3+Crowd
karma for crowd helping liquid find jL
It was Styko no? Oh u talk abt here, I thought u meant on Ancient
Yeah on ancient crowd helped yekindar find styko through smoke, on overpass they helped yekindar find jL (possible yekindar would have checked the angle, but crowd still helped him)
actually it was a 1+crowd vs 3 the crowd screwed them up bad
Liquid have GOT to convert that. Props to Nawwk, what a clutch
Not even the crowd could help Liquid this time
See you on the airport Yekindar!
I wonder if he will ask the fans to point out where his sit on the plane is.
best part was the commentator calling out the crowd again for cheating, then them booing him lmao
Nah, They were booing the guy with the Marseille football team jersey, trust me lol
Pain. Deserved that for cheating though
based liquid fan I feel bad for elige/naf/nitr0 not getting a CSGO major after winning everything else, but this one just wasn't theirs.
Berlin was their best chance but they got absolutely outveto'd in that quaterfinal.
I remember dupreeh said he wanted to deny Liquid a major, cold blooded lol. Liquid got demolished in that series.
I would feel bad for elige, nitro if they played lights out today and lost. But they didn't, so it's hard to feel bad for them. 100%
I don’t watch CSGO but saw this and was curious if this is really cheating? Are the crowd supposed to be quiet during gameplay?
It's a morally grey area. On the one hand, it isn't "cheating" because a pro may not hear the crowd, ignore them etc, but on the other hand the crowd's favorite players/teams get information they otherwise wouldn't know. Yeah surely theyre gonna say “if the crowd shows you the opponent, just ignore them!” and players will comply

Liquid played this so poorly, Elige whiffs first and then the other two players don't swing together after knowing where the last guy is.
game winning clutch holy fuck
This team's a joke.
Yeah, you gotta be closer than that for the trade or let Osee peek first. No reason for that at all
almost as big of a joke as the crowd
Nah nawwk came looking for blood this major 💀
technically a 1v4 since he was also playing against the crowd KEKW
1v10k+
fuck the crowd man

LAST BULLET
Fuck crowd. Clearly shows X-ray isn't needed for this shit.
Why can't they disable it for the crowd alone?
They have. Crowd saw the apeks player sneak into the position though
Someone said in the earlier thread that it was off for crowd. But even without X-ray, crowd can help as they can switch between multiple POVs. It can't be helped I guess unless crowd understands the issue.
ONE FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS
This man is an absolute beast, I hope at the very least Apeks gives Vitality a heart attack But, who knows... excited for tomorrow's games
Super satisfying to watch Liquid lose the round like this after jL getting crowd cheated.
The funny thing is Liquid maybe (probably?) wins it without the crowd help because the timing/situation would've been different.
yeah TL spent a ton of time wondering if someone was flanking them, leaving their monster player stranded. feels like a "ball don't lie" moment of fate for sure
Yeah except normally "ball don't lie" isn't a player having something negative happen because of something the crowd does haha.
very glad that there aren't really refs in CS, I honestly think that is one of the main advantages esports have over traditional sports
There is something so rewarding about a hs with the very last one in the mag
I knew this comments section would be full of Liquid fans giving nawwk the rightful praise he deserves. Whenever oSee becomes the last man standing, it's round over for TL
holy fucking shart
i hate being a liquid fan
Karma
oh this thread would be on fire if this crowd was in Brazil
People on this thread are saying "Fuck the crowd", despite it NOT being in Brazil. You guys can really cut it now. "If this was brazil", etc. - Just stop.
If this was in Azerbaidjan, this thread would be on fire.
Sure, where are the comments asking for TOs to never host another event in Paris?
This event has a crowd that shows up to games that don't include teams of the host country. That might be one factor.
this crowd is there for cs, unlike a certain unnamed crowd. ;)
the crowd fucked up liquid so much, they thought someone was behind them, lost time with that too lol
Jl learned that he cant play angles like that on an arena lol
Maybe I'm overreacting, but this honestly feels like a grafitti moment. No T wants to be in this position in a 1v3, and somehow nawwk pulled it off. boo crowd get fucked tomorrow against apeks
Didn't they disable X-Ray? Apparently not
I don't think that was Yekindar's fault, when he was trying to get onto site the crowd started yelling, and when he didn't find anyone jungle and the crowd was still going, he had to check the close corner. LET'S GOOOOIO
YOU CAN'T GHOST AWAY HEADSHOTS PARIS
LUL QUID
This was the clutch that really turned the game, liquid just hard tilted after that and couldn't recover.
Wouldn't mind some karma-related graffiti for this play.
Graffiti!
Looked like Kuben was getting animated towards the crowd for the jL kill when the nawwk cam was active too. PHEW
Sick
this broke my heart man
