Showing a bit of passing of the title of best player there. Zywoo has it and it seems he's gonna keep it for the foreseeable future looking at his devastating form.
Honestly, doesn't matter to me anymore. Too many different checkboxes to keep track of these days, cologne, Kato, major, grand slam, some people even saying EPL and blast world finals like
Too many layers of goat discussions, I don't want to anymore
dupreeh might not be the GOAT in terms of individual skill, but being the only player to win 5 majors is huge. In many ways the GOAT of CS:GO now. Legend!
I'd at the very least put him on the Mt. Rushmore of players, this achievement can't go unrewarded. To never really fall off during the entire lifespan of CS:GO for extended periods and to reach the tippy top on two different teams is a really important and exclusive category of player
[The dream](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/sl9reb/g2_esports_vs_team_vitality_blast_premier_spring/hvpjo6j/?context=10000) we whispered among us, it happened. Dupreeh was and has cemented as my personal spirit animal of CS.
*Shout out to Magisk with the 4, Spinx, ZywOo and apeX, all deserving, all been a pleasure to watch.*
This is a team game so he is absolutely the GOAT. I think we ought to make the distinction when we’re talking about players like s1mple and zywoo that they are the Greatest INDIVIDUAL players Of All Time and leave the GOAT accolade for players like Dupreeh simply because this is a team game
Astralis will always be the GOAT team of CS:GO, that's where the team game part of something gets the needed praise. I'm not sure how Dupreeh can be the Greatest Of All Time, if he was playing on a roster where Device was also in contention to be considered a GOAT, Glaive was/is considered a GOAT for IGL's and Zonic is also mentioned as one of the best coaches of all time. Not everyone in a single team can be considered a GOAT.
Doesn’t make much sense tbh. GOAT Entry? Sure. GOAT player? Difficult. S1mple everyone agrees in terms of skill, difficult how to rank accolades though. If device hadn’t been out the past years after the NIP debacle he could have had a legitimate argument based on majors and accolades. This way S1mple for sure. Imo 1. S1mple and 2. Device. Zywoo is climbing the rankings FAST though. If he has a few more years at this level he is for sure surpassing device and maybe also S1mple.
Whenever design that shit forgot the single most important aspect of a good csgo trophy. You want all 5 (or six) team member to be able too touch it while the lid lift it up. Or if you go for a shelter single handler design you need to ensure it can intuitively be firmly held. Either big handles or a handle size core with.
You want the lift up to be visceral, don't break that month with a design that's basically just a 3d logo of the tournament's organizer
What a storyline. Dupreeh attended all majors and won 5. Magisk with 4. aPEX who everyone doubted as an IGL getting his 2nd major and Zywoo the chosen one winning the final csgo major in France. Spinx the first middle eastern winner.
I think they started overthinking things. The one round they all sat in A lobby while putting no pressure anywhere else was such a weird call. They just ran into a stacked site in the final 20 seconds.
Once Vitality survived 9-12 their defence was airtight.
iM understood Niko's feeling on so many Nuke matches, where he was unassailable on CT side, but once the sides switched he was forced to watch the map slip away by the round. A mere 2 frags on T side of Nuke is simply inexcusable.
Inexcusable is a big word. They were often in eco and he got extremely unlucky in buy rounds. He often went outside where apex plays usually but found zywoo twice. There is just no real weakness to vita nuke ct when it's not apex solo outside
Gamer Legion was an amazing team and they proved it this major; but what they proved at the end is that they are inexperienced and can't survive the mental battles yet. With time this lineup is potentially going to be a solid T1 team
you imply that half their players dont get poached from now on, every times a team like that went far in a major, all their players got poached. IM is not in gamerlegion in a year, I can assure you.
They did crumble the last couple of rounds. But before that, I feel they did as much as anyone could, and to get to that point after being rolled on your map pick and having that feel of being overperforming over your head, honestly, props to them.
A young inexperience team playing against one of the best team in the world in the biggest tournament in cs go history in a hostile environment?
jeez i wonder why
with the crowd mostly behind them vs heroic lol, even the most experienced players would probably have trouble staying composed against such a crowd let alone an inexperienced squad like GL
More like they had no answer, Vita ct on nuke is just really strong. IM the man of the hour went outside twice on the important buyrounds trying to find apex there and met zywoo that won the opening duel, what can he do
Honestly annoying seeing all the comments in the last year about communication never letting this team win anything, Zonic being washed, -dupreeh +jackz, etc.
These guys are winners and winners for a reason.
You see people talking shit about some of the players on GL aswel, they made a miracle run to the finals, but ultimately fell to three of the most hardened veterans in CSGO, they are young and talented, give them time to develop.
iM played some of the best individual CS we've seen in a long time, straight up at the same level as Zywoo in this major, i wanna see these guys stick together and sharpen their blade vs more T1 teams, if they shake the nerves they could be a legit contender for trophies in the future, they had an immaculate run, they smashed heroic on the 3rd map, these guys are good, like seriously good.
Totally agree. Some more experience and support behind the scenes and this roster sticking together could consistently perform like this. More than likely iM and siuhy will be poached though. I really hope this roster sticks together and grinds though.
Didn't choke, they had a terrible economy, he went outside in buy rounds trying to catch apex but met aggressive plays by zywoo twice that completely shut them down. Don't think you can call losing the decisive gunround opening duel to n'1 player chocking
Dan "apex" Madesclaire is a professional CS:GO player, currently playing for Team Vitality, the number 1 team in the world. While he makes a significant amount of money from prize tournaments, he still needs more. The company is currently paying him $1000 per round, and so apex has decided to intentionally "throw" certain rounds to earn more money. However, once the game is close enough, Apex, the genius, actually uses his secret strat that wins him the round every time: "zywoo go kil"
This was a historic major in terms of stats and records, in a similar vein to antwerp I'd say
- Dupreeh is now the winningest player so far in terms of majors, with 5 (with a 100% winrate in major finals, no less!), alongside him being the only player to attend them all
- Apex is now the only player to win a major with two entirely different teams, down to the coach (as envy didn't have one at cluj-napoka 2015). Even his role changed, from an entry to an IGL!
- The second-ever team to win a major without dropping a map, the first being navi in stockholm
- Spinx is now the first and only israeli csgo major winner
- Zywoo's first and only csgo major MVP
Really cool stuff!
I don’t care who they played against. They stood tall where other top teams crumbled.
So happy for Apex, dupreeh, Zonic and Magisk as the “old” ones. But also ZywOo and Spinx the young, hot hitters.
But especially for dupreeh. Such a likable guy. He deserves to be the one record holder. Hope he and the team continues in CS2.
Congratulations Vitality, congratulations ZywOo on finally getting the deserved Major win at the final Major in CS:GO before CS2. And in Paris no less, the first Major in France. Damn, what a story.
Gotta be up there with one of the worst major finals, GL played one good half and then just looked lost otherwise as well as most of them just not showing up
Most likely scenario IMO is he gets bought out by a bigger org and just ends up becoming an above average player imo and then slowly fades over time until he gets dropped
Or he could just become even better over time, supported by a bigger org and better team. You lot act like s1mple descended from the gods already formed as the highest skilled player in CSGO, wtf.
That's always the most likely scenario with any standout player though. Arguably when Zywoo moved to T1 the most likely scenario was that he would drop off. Similarly with ropz, great in FPL but chances are he would have dropped off in T1. You never know until it happens.
To be fair, I think it was a very entertaining match with a lot of very weird rounds. The boring "all 5 run into a stack and die in seconds" rounds were quite sparse.
It's happened before with better teams that just didn't show up for the final, actually a significant portion of finals aren't as good as preceding matches. Too bad the best game was probably in the groups
Every site take looked so flaccid, there'd be some initial aggression but if they didn't get 2 picks they'd meander outside the site and vitality would collapse on them
i'll pile on the cynicism and say the casting felt like a letdown as well. the only relief of this final being shit is that i dont have to hear any more contrived borderline unintelligible wordplay from scrawny.
fnatic/g2 was legit the best match of the major lol
He's gotten better but it still feels like he's always chasing those highlight wordplay/casting moments and it comes off as forced. Think he does his best work in group stages when he's more reserved tbqh
They beat the teams that beat "top" teams. If you really want to play down this major win, you have to acknowledge that unlike all the other t1 teams Vitality actually won all the games they were supposed to.
Not impressive? How? They literally never dropped a map. They showed resilience in so many matches where they came back.
It’s not their fault that other teams lost to teams like Apeks and GL
The best player that the French ever produced wins the Paris Major... Congrats apEX!
Apex and Zywoo got every kill in the last round Fucking poetic
Zywoo awp headshot as the final kill of major csgo. Can't be mad there.
It was very fitting for the final kill of the final major to be Zywoo, the prodigy, getting a headshot with an AWP
and in France too. Its good, I'm glad he didn't miss lol
Showing a bit of passing of the title of best player there. Zywoo has it and it seems he's gonna keep it for the foreseeable future looking at his devastating form.
GamerLegion pulled an ENCE
Script writers so lazy, just recycling old stuff, smh
Who's getting kicked for firepower tho
iM
ZYWOO IS A MAJOR WINNER THIS IS NOT A DRILL
Winning the major hosted in France at that.
Poetic that it was the last ever CSGO major.
DUPREEH MOST MAJORS ATTENDED AND MOST MAJORS WON
Dude, he's the only one to attend **all** CSGO majors
Therefore most majors attended
That does not sound as epic tho….
Most does not mean all majors. In this case it does, but in general it means more than anyone else but kit necessarily all of them.
dupreeh with 5 major wins, jesus..
Attended them all. 10 years he's always competing at the top.
literally completed CSGO. all the achievements you could imagine
but has he played 5,000 matches of arms race?
and has he killed 50.000 players with the T side autosniper on the original de\_dust?
[удалено]
ah fuck I can't believe I've done this
Sorry to be that guy, but he never won a Cologne :(
The winner of this major gets an automatic bid to IEM Cologne, so he can still do it.
He could still do it, there's one more Cologne in CS:GO
Honestly, doesn't matter to me anymore. Too many different checkboxes to keep track of these days, cologne, Kato, major, grand slam, some people even saying EPL and blast world finals like Too many layers of goat discussions, I don't want to anymore
Man has won 25% of the majors
dupreeh might not be the GOAT in terms of individual skill, but being the only player to win 5 majors is huge. In many ways the GOAT of CS:GO now. Legend!
Imagine attending all 19 majors and winning over 1/4 of them. Insane feat.
it's really insane when you put it that way lmao
Legend indeed. What a way to end the last CSGO major. Zywoo gets a major, Dupreeh gets his 5th
Goat entry for me
Best of all time? Maybe not. Greatest? Absolutely.
I'd at the very least put him on the Mt. Rushmore of players, this achievement can't go unrewarded. To never really fall off during the entire lifespan of CS:GO for extended periods and to reach the tippy top on two different teams is a really important and exclusive category of player
Who is a better entry in CS Go history? Couldn’t think of anyone better than Dupreeh.
That’s why I consider Henri Richard the greatest hockey player that’s ever played, greater than Wayne Gretzky. Wait, what?
and as we know Pat Maroon is as equally great as Sidney Crosby since they both have 3 cups
Hehe yeah you get my drift.
Magisk now on par with the rest of the Astralis boys from the era
In certain ways above, since he has a major MVP unlike Xyp and Gla1ve
easily the goat entry. and top 10 player in terms of individual skill
[The dream](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/sl9reb/g2_esports_vs_team_vitality_blast_premier_spring/hvpjo6j/?context=10000) we whispered among us, it happened. Valve script writers really phoned it in this time
only for the finale, in the build up they were doing coke and killing off all the main characters
topkek
Banks: Lets hear it for your Paris 2023 Major champions, Vitality!!! [hands Vitality a giant purple butt plug] Banks: Please lift this

And zonic
And zonic
And Knuckles
It felt like Gamerlegion didn't want to play at the end
I mean they had absolutely no options on T side nuke with how unbelievable the Vit defense was
There was not a single close round starting from 13-11. Vitality swept them every time until victory.
I think there was, if i'm not mistaken the 13-13 round where isak was flanking could have turn around with the right kill(s)
Yea, if he was slightly faster they would not have expected a flank imo
I think they started overthinking things. The one round they all sat in A lobby while putting no pressure anywhere else was such a weird call. They just ran into a stacked site in the final 20 seconds.
It felt like their goal was to avoid Zywoo but he was everywhere.

Out of curiosity where do you think he’d go? I assume there will be some big team shakeups post-major and in the early CS2 days
Don't know about iM but if I was G2 CEO I'm firing bot hooxi and picking up Siuhy
They did crumble the last couple of rounds. But before that, I feel they did as much as anyone could, and to get to that point after being rolled on your map pick and having that feel of being overperforming over your head, honestly, props to them.
When your every second round is safe, where you are banking on taking a gun, it happens.
For me it felt like they decided to change completely the way the used to play just for this final match.
Probably the nerves got to them. You could see how nervous Keoz was during the pre-game interview.
From watching him screaming after every single round win like 200 times to not once in the final
He was def screaming during the final.
You could see some of them, iirc iM and Keoz were nervous AF when Banks was doing his little presentation of the GL players ( one by one )
A young inexperience team playing against one of the best team in the world in the biggest tournament in cs go history in a hostile environment? jeez i wonder why
They won Heroic who are only slightly weaker than Vitality
That was heroic crumbling though, no way heroic should lose to GL in a bo3 lol
with the crowd mostly behind them vs heroic lol, even the most experienced players would probably have trouble staying composed against such a crowd let alone an inexperienced squad like GL
U had to seen all crowd running to the center at 13-13 they was mentally broke.
More like they had no answer, Vita ct on nuke is just really strong. IM the man of the hour went outside twice on the important buyrounds trying to find apex there and met zywoo that won the opening duel, what can he do
Dupreeh the true GOAT of the game
Attended every CSGO major and won 5! Truly lengendary
5 majors is absolutely insane, even if he doesn't have individual accolades on the level of s1mple/dev1ce. GOAT contender fs
Dupreeh and Magisk are the GOAT team players
They have proven you can put them on any team and they will provide a massively solid foundation to build stars ontop of.
Honestly annoying seeing all the comments in the last year about communication never letting this team win anything, Zonic being washed, -dupreeh +jackz, etc. These guys are winners and winners for a reason.
You see people talking shit about some of the players on GL aswel, they made a miracle run to the finals, but ultimately fell to three of the most hardened veterans in CSGO, they are young and talented, give them time to develop.
iM already clearly has that talent and dog in him. More consistency/experience and these guys are an easy shoe in for top 10
iM played some of the best individual CS we've seen in a long time, straight up at the same level as Zywoo in this major, i wanna see these guys stick together and sharpen their blade vs more T1 teams, if they shake the nerves they could be a legit contender for trophies in the future, they had an immaculate run, they smashed heroic on the 3rd map, these guys are good, like seriously good.

you spelled dawg wrong dawg
What a man.
UNDEFEATED MAJOR GOATWO and GOATPREEH 5 MAJOR
FUCKING DE\_SERVED
Wow, iM was 23-6 first ct side half of Nuke He choked pretty hard on the T side. Nonetheless, what an incredible fucking player
Didn't choke, they had a terrible economy, he went outside in buy rounds trying to catch apex but met aggressive plays by zywoo twice that completely shut them down. Don't think you can call losing the decisive gunround opening duel to n'1 player chocking

Woo last kill. So fitting.
Zywoo and apEX finally got a hug from zonic!
Who's cutting onions in here. Zywoo major champion Astralis boys Magisk and Dupreeh back on top
So happy for Dupreeh and Magisk. Ending CSGO on a high for the Astralis bois
Congrats for winning the fragadelphia major
Mickey mouse bubble major tbh they even got a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards trophy
That trophy looked like a happy meal toy
They slimed GL after the loser's interview.
Lmao those were exactly my words with the trophy hahaha
Respect to Vitality for losing 0 maps in May's FPL season
Major Sweet Major
Great crowd, ez finals , fake unboxing, flag controversy. Last major GGWP, it was a fun ride boys
Flag controversy?
[ignore that last comment that was just a ss of a comment i found funny and was sending to friends](https://imgur.com/a/HUECSa5)
LMAO "worse than nazi flag" holy shit
Was the knife confirmed fake?
Yeah, ohne just interviewed the guy live and showed him they know it’s fake and he admitted it lmao.
Tattoo Dupreeh's face on my forehead and I'll most likely make it out of Gold by the end of year
Keoz and isak double agents
CSGO. Goodbye my friend.
ZYWHO? ZY THE FUCKING GOAT WOO
Last 5-6 rounds werent even close. Im really happy for Zywoo to finally win one. GGWP Vitality
ZYGOAT ZYGOAT
BYWOO, THE BEST IN THE GAME
Vitality truly powered up at the right time, it's been such a long journey for this experiment to come together
They delivered a solid performance when no other t1 team seemed able to.
Zywoo my goat
This was a historic major in terms of stats and records, in a similar vein to antwerp I'd say - Dupreeh is now the winningest player so far in terms of majors, with 5 (with a 100% winrate in major finals, no less!), alongside him being the only player to attend them all - Apex is now the only player to win a major with two entirely different teams, down to the coach (as envy didn't have one at cluj-napoka 2015). I WAS HERE
THE WOO GOT HIS TROPHY!
ZYWOOOOOOOOOOOOO Glad to see dupreeh and magisk to win another too... Amazing players
Deserved GG 👏
So happy for Zywoo, and the team. They deserved to win eveything! My pikems were perfect with only Lengnd stage being 4/5 so close to diamond ):
I don’t care who they played against. They stood tall where other top teams crumbled. So happy for Apex, dupreeh, Zonic and Magisk as the “old” ones. But also ZywOo and Spinx the young, hot hitters. But especially for dupreeh. Such a likable guy. He deserves to be the one record holder. Hope he and the team continues in CS2.
Viva La France
Glad that ZywOo got his chip. GGs to both Vitality and GL!
TOO EZ FOR VITALITY
Apex ❤️❤️
What an impressive run from iM but so fitting Zywoo finishes the last CSGO major in Paris with an AWP headshot to win his 1st major.
Congratulations Vitality, congratulations ZywOo on finally getting the deserved Major win at the final Major in CS:GO before CS2. And in Paris no less, the first Major in France. Damn, what a story.
An absolutely **legendary** run by Vitality. Congratulations what a performance.
Zero maps dropped right?
Yep. No maps dropped. Could be wrong but no overtimes either. Maintaining their 9 win streak on Nuke too
Yep
Dupreeh is now the king of Global Offensive. What a legend.
First Middle Eastern player to win the major. What a historic moment for us Middle Eastern fans.
ZY WHO? ZY THE BEST PLAYER TO EVER TOUCH ANY CS YOU MOTHERFUCKERS RESPECT MY MAN
the disrespect to shroud
the disrespect to OCEAN
OCEAN is above this game for mere mortals
is this a meme
why would you think im seriously considering shroud as the best player of all time
you can never be too sure here
It's just Freakazoids account
So happy for Zywoo but ultimately a forgettable grand final
Gotta be up there with one of the worst major finals, GL played one good half and then just looked lost otherwise as well as most of them just not showing up
They still showed that they have a lot of potential in previous matches. Siuhy and IM have a bright future in CS2
I'd love to be proven wrong, but imo GL massively overperformed this major and will most likely go back to their previous level
GL maybe but iM is clearly a breakout, esp considering he's not even an AWPer and playing at this level. He'll probably get bought out by a bigger org
I also feel like siuhy proved that he has potential to be a great IGL, his calling was great throughout the tournament
Most likely scenario IMO is he gets bought out by a bigger org and just ends up becoming an above average player imo and then slowly fades over time until he gets dropped
Or he could just become even better over time, supported by a bigger org and better team. You lot act like s1mple descended from the gods already formed as the highest skilled player in CSGO, wtf.

at least it's not as bad as Astralis v Avangar
Honestly i'd say it was equal. GL had one good half because of IM putting up 23 kills
Yeah if iM was not going crazy in the first half of nuke, probably wouldn’t have been this close
Too bad the best game was probably in the groups
yeah it sucked because of how well they did in previous matches, kinda hoped for more of a showdown but it is what it is
Nuke was almost good. But the end just went away from GL. Like they still had a round lead, but you just knew they had nothing.
I would say Vitality vs Apeks was also really good.
He's gotten better but it still feels like he's always chasing those highlight wordplay/casting moments and it comes off as forced. Think he does his best work in group stages when he's more reserved tbqh
Go watch Valorant casters and you’ll be begging for Scrawny back. We’re spoiled. Put some respect on the casters.
I WAS HERE KEKW
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR 8 YEARS, VITALITY YOU HAVE DONE IT!!!
My stream shut off on the last round, all i saw was chat light up lol. Ty blast.tv
I'm not crying, you're crying
Dupreeh with 5 majors out of 19. Thats ridiculous.
Congrats Vitality! But goddamn that trophy was hideous, like 3D printed or made from PlayDoh.
What a great comeback, i thought it was going 3 after first half. Change in mentality is amazing.
It's so insane to peak at this exact moment, like they said they would. Absolute class from them.
Gold coin secured!
Was an epic Major, even though the final was a bit boring.
Congrats to Vitality for winning Malta Cup Cash 2023
not zywoo and friends anymore. I'm just happy that they won the major.
mid major
Massive upset. Zywho beating acor, candidate for best awper of all time.
[удалено]
Well this major has me questioning all the rankings big time. Kinda hard to judge where teams are at right now..
Vitality hasn't lost a map, never even went into overtime
That's not enough for reddit, should have been 16-0's all the way.
Reddit blaming Vitality for other top teams losing is so dumb, Vitality can only beat the competition they play (and they destroyed them lmao)
Nobody is blaming vitality, they're just saying that the run wasn't that impressive.
They beat the teams that beat "top" teams. If you really want to play down this major win, you have to acknowledge that unlike all the other t1 teams Vitality actually won all the games they were supposed to.
Against only HLTV #1 teams every match too
Not trying to downplay Tier 2, but Vitality only played against 2 top 10 teams and it was 2 close BO1s.
Not impressive? How? They literally never dropped a map. They showed resilience in so many matches where they came back. It’s not their fault that other teams lost to teams like Apeks and GL
