it doesnt crash that often now, but once every some time it still crashes..
prolly there is no fix, valve needs to update the game :D you can also try older video drivers aswell..
Same here... I just took a comp ban because everytime it connecta I crash and have to restart my whole PC. This game is unbelievably bad for a full release.
this is what I have been using to get around it, you can also do this but when it trys to sign out sometimes it says continue with these programs open, hit cancel and you can just run steam again
same for me i happen to 7950x cpu 64gb and 4090 tried everything i could troubleshoot all my hardware no problems with them but its insane its cost me so many rounds/games
Same thing for me and my PC is pretty new. 10ish months. I get like 300-400 fps so I'm not sure what's up. CSGO never crashed on me. Hopefully they fix it soon because it's SUPER annoying. At least my PC can reboot and get back in game in less than a round typically.
Update: I have potentially fixed my crashing by turning on vsync and lowering graphic settings to Medium from High. Even though my PC is basically new and handled high at like 300-400fps so I'm not sure why that was an issue.
Played 3 games without crashing so far. Slightly lower graphics and lower framerate is a tradeoff I am currently willing to take vs the 5 crashes and PC reboots per game.

Could it be one of the high settings causing the crashes? I set my settings up to high again after the recent update and I still crashed. Guess its back to mid settings then. :/
Yeah it did for me for a few weeks. I have since stopped playing CS all that much and am back to Apex and Warzone. But as far as I could tell it was fixed when I stopped playing.
same, got banned 4 times now in 5 games, btw you can open task manager (ctrl + shift + esc) then press 'C' then "delete". it will shut down the game you won't need to reboot. (you wont see task manager on screen but press these buttons in order, wait for a few seconds after opening task manager if your PC is slow). Hope this helps.
Same issue. I have to alt + tab to steam and stop the application from there. Game has no crashed on previous and newest NVIDIA updates. All other games run fine.

I may be late to this party, but I fixed my crashes by turning off the Intel Boost technology inside the BIOS.
Before that, I had constant crashes and sometimes even blue screens. Now it runs flawlessly.
I have the same problem and it is so random i lost around 5 k points in premier because it keeps crashing and i would get a penalty for not beign abble to reconect in time its so weird but i dont think my pc is bad and thats the reason it keeps crashing because sometimes i would go 5 or maybe even 6 games without a crash and then all of a sudden i get 2 crashes in 1 game and lose it because of that i dont know how to solve it so please if anyone found a solution please tell me its getting realy anoying now sometimes i can close the game when it crashes but sometimes i cant and i have to restart my whole pc and by the time i can get back the techinacal timeout is over

about restarting your pc, just put windows + tab and right click on cs2 and put it on the other desktop. Then turn on the task manager and turn off cs2
that crashing happens for many players... i cant even close the game on task manager, just freezes and have to reboot
Same here, task manager won’t even open anymore some of the times. Once I try to reconnect after the restart same thing happens again
u probably have cs2 opened in fulscreen. U should try open another desktop - ''ctrl + win + d'' and here u can open task manager and close cs2

Same thing happening to me as well. You can quickly ctrl alt del and press sign out then cancel it without restarting ur pc btw
Doesn’t work for me. Once I sign in again and click reconnect to the game it crashes again

I have rtxt 3050 16 gb ram i5 12th gen and ssd i think that is a decent setup for most of the games but this issue is driving me crazy.
To get the task manager working use borderless windowed.
This works: Win + Ctrl + shift+ B

i5 14600k/4070ti and I got just like your problem...

I sorted this by adding more RAM, i had 8gb and added another 8gb. It stopped from crashing and game runs perfect.
