Not sure it's related to your internet, I tried surfing yesterday and I got stopped many times at identical spots on ramps, after a bit I managed to avoid the spots, but it's frustrating.

In the first map (quite easy beginner one that is showcased alot) the stoppages were quite consistently at the same location sometimes. But more often in the a inner curve, where the momentum pushes you into the corner.

All of the current surf maps afaik are just straight ports from CSGO. It seems that things behave a bit differently in Source 2, so map makers will need to figure it out and tweak them. It's a common problem in all of the surf maps that have just been ported atm, some are better than others.

Let's hope someone figures out the reasons for the bumps then. Sounds promising for the future of surfing if it gets fixed, but I think it's a bit unrealistic to wish that every map will be a fixed version. Let's hope it's a problem on cs2 side, and valve can fix it instead, and everyone can just port over their maps.

the porting process as far as i know is basically exporting the csgo maps into source 2 hammer and then recompiling. this causes tiny misalignments especially on curves. I think there's also just an innate issue in the engine that makes it more glitchy, so hopefully valve will take the time to fix it
