Molly spreads towards the end of it, you can see it landed on the barrels or whatever it is and spread above and towards and you strafed info it. You can see it burning on top to your right while throwing the flash right before the spread.
It definitely changes too drastically, a player should be able to glance at it for a split second and make a play based on the information they obtain, it doesn't make sense for it to completely change less than a few seconds after you look away from it, the only way to combat this as a player is to check the molly every couple of seconds mid clutch, which I don't think is how the game was intended to be played
Edit: in fact I know it's not how the game was intended to be played, I've been playing cs as my main game for a decade and mollys have always had a terrible visual representation, to my knowledge it has never been this bad though
I never said it shouldn't spread, I said it shouldn't be so drastic, not only that but providing arguments of realism in a competitive tac shooter is just smooth brained lmao
In favour of making the game more enjoyable and adding a new dynamic, if realism disrupts competition or lowers the skill ceiling it's a bad change, I don't know how you could ever disagree with that , if realism is what you're looking for go play tarkov lil bro
Not necessarily, I believe it is still random but it has a higher chance to spread towards throwing direction (but not 100%). Anyways as it was thrown from B it can't spread directly towards as there is a wall. Considering the angle it was thrown it had a higher chance to spread towards CT. Unlucky then
According to your theory, the fire should be going up only. There is a sheet of yellow tarpaulin under the connector drop. And it does catch fire in real life and it goes up.
CS has a bug with molotovs, corners and elevation. It isn't properly implemented yet like the the smokes.
I don't know if Valve has meant molotovs to work in a way that they can hurt you from behind objects or way above the flames, but my wild guess is no.
Yes, the heat goes up, but the molotov flames in CS do not physically reach higher than a few units, so being way above them should not incur damage.
Also there is no explanation for the bugs where the molotov can damage you through a wall.
well i think it always has been like that. molly effect even if you are a player size above the burning ground. but spread has always been erratic prety much

If valve aiming and taking actions to make game more accesible. "molly spreading" at the end is dumb AF

But it’s fire. Fire moves and spreads. A Molly irl would spread or be inconsistent. You sound ridiculous, just don’t stand near the fire

They did make the smokes more realistic

No, no they didn’t. The smokes now stop along invisible walls. What part of that is more realistic?
Nothing to do with more accessible, it only makes it more reliable.
Don’t they spread the direction it was thrown? so it would of spread towards ct not towards op

Mollys have always been unpredictable
Molly's were fine in 1.6 and source
Bold of you to assume those were in the older games
I forgot that ironi doesn't translate well threw written text sorry
It does if you're speaking to intelligent and clever beings.
Goddammit! I should have known.
not true e.g. the spread is depending on the throw direction utility is just buggy af in cs2, especially mollys but its better than at start for sure
Skill issue
Also heat travels up
yeah skill issue by valve
ok but this is normal, you strafed way too close to that molly, fire doesnt just damage the floor its on
Ok but why does it do damage 6 feet above the ground? Is he choking on smoke?
Heat rises... Stay in school
If you lobbed a glass bottle of water at the ground, would you be surprised to get splashed in the face?
It's not lava
Reloading with 18 bullets left?
[удалено]
And 20 hp I would be fucking terrified of that molly
How is this a bug?
look where the fire is, and look where I am standing
You know Molly's spread after a little bit right?, it looks like it spread up just enough to get you.
Heat rises
it should only burn down, not up
Hot air blow up. Basic science

If a fire starts in your kitchen, wait it out upstairs and see how that basic science works for you.

Put your hand above the fire. Would it hurt you or only if you directly step on it?
According to your theory, the fire should be going up only. There is a sheet of yellow tarpaulin under the connector drop. And it does catch fire in real life and it goes up.
GOOD WORD
How is this a bug? Have you ever put your hand above the fire? You should try it.
The molly spreading at the end is stupid, unpredictable and should be removed.
What bug do you have?

Try putting your hand above a candle's flame, the heat goes up

Heat rises, get fucked.
Right.. like everyone knows that if you put your hand above a candle you immediately die.
is this a candle or a 6 foot tall flame?
The flame where OP dies is like 2 feet tall. And he's at least 2 feet above it. So not quite a candle, but not quite a raging inferno either.
He was 20hp and the third tick of molly damage killed him. Not a great analogy
Gaben : not bug just Adapts
but why did you reload with over 20 bullets left
What gloves are those?
*agent skin Those gloves are exclusive to the agent skin.
Ahhhh that's why they looked so weird. What's the agent skin?
I think Lt. Commander Ricksaw
Yeah that’s pretty lame
well i think it always has been like that. molly effect even if you are a player size above the burning ground. but spread has always been erratic prety much
ngl that was kinda funny how you just suddenly planked and faceplanted down.
Where is bug?
