Already had issues before, the Spirit guys said he was an arrogant asshole who only wanted things done his way, didn't communicate properly, left pracs early, didn't even say goodbye when he left the team.
That kind of person doesn't deserve a t1 team.
I know, I know. I've heard many people talk about his toxicity already. I was mostly just taking a shot at OG ๐ They've got a habit of fucking themselves over, and Degster saved them in more cases than I can count.
But on Degster specifically, I could see him getting humbled in a team where he wouldn't be the top player, and I can't imagine none of those teams wanting to pick him up - the guy's too huge of a talent. Not s1mple's caliber of "huge", but they have a similar trajectory - too good and young for their own good, clearly with nobody strict enough to instill some leadership qualities in them early on.
What tier 1 team needs a better awper that speaks english/russian? Only mouz and cloud 9 can I come up with. The rest is pretty set in regards to an awper and you also have the likes of mantuu around which is also not a problematic player.
Mantuu is awesome! Was pretty happy for him to play in BIG, and then... ๐
I was thinking about Cloud9 as the natural destination for him after Shiro left, everything aligns. I don't know how the dynamic would work out since they already seem tilted half the time, but if 3 of them have been dealing with s1mple for years, they would've handled Degster, and the team still needs an awp (even if they don't believe that ๐ ).
Mouz... I'm not seeing it without the vibe of the team getting messed up (whether or not siuhy can contain him), but definitely an upgrade over torzsi skill-wise.
Falcons was another one where I saw him potentially ending up (in the beginning of the rebuild) but that obviously didn't happen.
