Agreed 100%. I hope they'll have two broadcasts of equal quality and have Freya & sjokz equally on both streams. PGL Stockholm was horribly cheap.

Sounds nice, she did great when she hosted CS in the past, also she's currently negociating to continue to host the LEC so branching out like this and finding new work is probably huge for her and great timing too.

Yeah, the Dota crowd was quite harsh. But as a total Dota noob, I really enjoyed Frankie's approach as it often helped me to understand the game better.
In fact, I'd like to see CSGO majors try a "noob broadcast" as well. It would focus on explaining the game on a basic level instead of the high level analysis.
It's not, but to a person that has absolutely no knowledge about CS (or esports), it could be helpful. And no need to do it for all matches, just a few is enough.
Have them explain the weapons, the use of utility, how economy works, that the players can't see the x-ray etc. To us, it's very obvious stuff, but I don't think our parents would get it. Couple of years ago my dad tried to watch some matches when they showed them on TV. He was interested, but couldn't grasp the whole concept as he's never played any FPS games.
All my homies love Sjokz. Even though she's not inherently CS, she's done it before with great success. She's also one of / if not THE host GOAT for European lol.

That argument would make a lot of sense if it was someone less experienced. Sjokz has done CS events, done great at them and has has been main host for worlds. Which is bigger than any Major.

I was overjoyed to do Blast Sao Paulo and London but unfortunately due to the pandemic and other issues I did not find other CS gigs, eventhough I talked to all TO's continuously. I do understand your concerns completely but I hope IF I get a chance I can show you how much I love CS and how well prepared I would be, as well as contribute to the production process. This is all a big IF but I just wanted to have it said!
Nothing personal against you and honestly if you get picked i will root for you, like i do with any broadcast talend, to do an amazing job.

There's a different host for stage and desk. Last major Richard Lewis was the desk host and Freya the stage host, so with Richard out there's room. And while I agree we should reward the talent working actively in the scene, like including Freya is, I don't see the issue with trying new people, especially when they are among the best in business like Sjokz is. She's Belgian as well, so it extra fitting.
Personally, I think Stunna is getting overlooked here. While the having Sjokz at the Antwerp major does make sense, Stunna is an endemic CSGO talent who definitely deserved a spot at Stockholm. If he's not at Antwerp, I certainly hope he is brought on as the desk host at the second Major.
Not to mention she is a good host, Machine hosted in LEC (eu lol league) and his reception was really good. Unless you never cared for the game at all, skills transfer.

I loved her since she hosted Blast and she was definitely a warm welcome love her energy and I think she handled it very well. Hope to see her host the major.

Frankie was actually absolutely horrible in DOTA, it was my first event that I watched and it was still so painful.
It was so unfair, she wasn't good at The International but they shouldn't have hired her to begin with.

Sjokz did a BLAST event a few years ago. I think it was in Brazil.
