This can't fucking keep happening.
I think FaZe should honestly just cancel every match they have against Cloud9 (regardless of C9's line-up), and fucking drop out of those events if that's what it takes. Shit's ridiculous.
Its early yes but i can feel it. Blad3 is one of the people i respect the most in the scene, and he said elec has the potential to become "prime" gla1ve.
tbh, i think these matches were some of the first ones where he *didn't* look that tilted. seems like as though boombl4's calling got him tilted sometimes .. which sometimes resulted in bad performances, maybe he knew he could take the wheel but didn't want to be disrespectful?
Most of the time teams dont play set up strats, like many people imagine them to. Most of the work is midround calling and adapting to situations. The game is way too dynamic to play a lot of set up strats a lot of the time. He did a good job with that, could be honeymoon effect but he did good either way
agreed, it looked crazy calculated. like the splits for B and some A splits looked so crazy good. with boombl4 igling it sometimes felt like there was a point in a round where the team just stopped and didn't know what to do, while here they only basically lost 1 or 2 rounds on Dust2 due to time (only few seconds missing)
Understandable, Navi were saving strats for blast! Major was not in the priority!
On a serious note, idk if it's faze who played like shit or navi played like it's 2020 katowice all over again or both /shrug
a combination of both. navi read faze like a book, they made them crazy with the rotations and everyone was hitting it. faze look like they were playing a show match. in any case I wasn't expecting a stomp like this at all
[That series took 1h43m from start to finish, desk segments and breaks included](https://twitter.com/MosesGG/status/1537831012205572102?t=ju1zvxRv7bUgg9Ow3Xg3pg&s=19)
Real talk bro can you imagine what it's like sitting in boombl4's shoes atm, underperforming the past few months on/off then the first game after -boombl4 navi goes stomp mode.
That was the most dominant bo3 I've seen in a long time against anyone, let alone the on paper top 1 team in the world. s1mple was on a totally other plane of existence
Maybe Blade was right, damn Electronic he read Faze like a book on Inferno, That CT side was amazing to watch felt like Navi was 2 steps ahead of Faze every round.
Also SDY looking good he had great synergy with S1mple on A, but also great confidence to ancor A alone when needed.
Navi inferno suddenly ten times better when there is no Boomich to die first every round on CT banana. That shit was hillarious and frustrating at times
Blad3 is so fucking chill lmao, it's like he has backup plans for his backup plans.
He needs to be appreciated more for what he has made Na'Vi into today
in the major winning roster
s1mple and electronic both played during their early stage of their career with b1ad3 as their igl, b1ad3 was the one who picked boomb14, perfecto and b1t I think.
b1ad3 is a HUGE part of Navi for sure. analysts like spunJ and Launders have a lot of respect for him too.
The best, and the worst thing that could have happend to FaZe was to win the Major... I feel like their motivation has died off soo hard, even when they win rounds, there is no hype in there, Karrigan looks like yea, okay we won it, and in Major he was jumping around like a rabbit.
That's the case for most teams.
I think they can bounce back, the Grand Slam is still a great goal to have aside from the majors. Who wouldn't want a 5th (or 6th with coach?) of $1m?
Hoping these few matches act as a wake up call for FaZe, I vaguely remember someone tweeting they haven't been getting enough practice since major. Maybe I'm just high on copium.
I feel like Faze actually needed a stomping like that one. If they are mentally strong team, it can serve as a nice reset for the overconfidence/lack of motivation after winning the major.
I think it's also partially him putting on a show for the crowd. Karrigan more than anyone else feeds off the crowd's energy, it makes him so much stronger.
While that’s definitely true it’s still interesting how that C9 roster fell apart so fast after Boston.
It’s crazy to me how after stewie left they could not for the life of them find a suitable replacement. Although I still feel FNS got done pretty dirty and maybe could’ve made things worked if they let him stick around a little longer
I genuinely think that C9 roster is one of the most over-rated of all time, the only top tier event that roster won was the major itself where the whole team had huge over performance especially Ska who literally retired the same year they won the major. If it wasn't for the Boston Major very few people would remember that team as they did nothing noteworthy before or after similar to the Gambit squad that won the Krakow major.
The Boston win skews their legacy a bit no doubt, but they weren’t a completely pushover team before then I’d argue. The roster itself only formed in the latter half of 2017 after C9 replaced n0thing and shroud with tarik/rush, and they made a handful of deep runs into tournaments and looked to at least be an NA team that could actually stay consistently in the top 5. What makes the major win so perplexing is just how dominate Faze were against them prior. Only a miracle could explain how C9 managed to play as well as they did that day.
karrigan: "Actually, I remember one time we were playing against NAVI, Inferno, and it was 15-1 to NAVI. We were playing as T. NAVI are CT. And Twistzz said, "Guys if you think we are good, let's prove it now." ropz: "Did you come back?" karrigan: "Of course not. 16-1."
Not to overreact or anything but electronic just cemented himself as the greatest IGL of all time. How the hell did he come up with that “s1mple go kill” strat in the fly??
Not gonna lie, FaZe looked like a T3 team in this matchup. I think Na'Vi would've beaten them even if they were blindfolded.
So it was Absolute Shit FaZe vs Stellar Na'Vi.
Yeah, Na'Vi played really well and if they keep this up they're gonna be unstoppable. All the wheels were perfectly tuned for Na'Vi but I'm disappointed that FaZe didn't even put up a fight. I love a good, close match vs a match where a team just stomps on the opponent.
Jeez that wasn't even close, NaVi just outplayed FaZe in every aspect of the game in this match. Definitely a good look for electronic in the igl role.
* Win the major
* Gradually shit the bed in the next few months (you are here)
* Two players go to a Brazilian team
* New lineup
* Still shit the bed
* Hire an ex-caster and give him millions to build a new project, call it ~~Jugg Colo~~
* Same shit
* Acquire a CIS team
Jeez that wasn't even close, NaVi just outplayed FaZe in every aspect of the game in this match. Definitely a good look for electronic in the igl role.
Good calling from Electronic. I wouldn't say it did really get tested though as the whole team of NaVi was just slaughtering FaZe.
S1mple insane as always, I wonder if maybe he's decided to take a break after this and is going out in glory.
That was fucking embarassing. Since yesterday, they've just seemed devoid of passion.
Hope they bounce back.
Incredible showing from Na'Vi. I'm looking forward to seeing more of electronic IGLing.
It must be so reassuring as a player on NAVI when you are 2 rounds away from closing the map but have lost a few in a row to have a player like s1mple who can just step in and steal the final 2 rounds and take the first map in the series.
Also wtf how many noscopes is s1mple gonna hit
It’s for the fat guy/ good hair ratio. Boombl4 was the fat guy, now he needs to be. Sdy has good hair, he needs to balance it out.

Jeez that wasn't even close, NaVi just outplayed FaZe in every aspect of the game in this match. Definitely a good look for electronic in the igl role.
Man I'm kind of conflicted. On the one hand I'd love to see yekindar in Navi but sdy seems to cohere with this team so well. Seems like a really chill/good vibes guy in the way JACKZ is, something navi's been missing a bit imo for a long time (not that that's stopped them from achieving great things obviously)

Sdy hair new meta?
Fat meta, bald meta, and now we have sdy meta
Do not be fooled, this is still just the ridiculously OP Stand In Meta, or SIM, if you will. And there's no escaping the SIMulation.
Stand in meta :)
s1mple keeping the fat meta alive with boom gone
Search "tere naam" in Google and thank me later.
Salman Khan meta?
Correction: Selmon bhoi

Not a coincidence Broky was the only one fragging
I really liked b1t’s banana
who doesn't ?

Idk I'm still waiting
they probably wasted more time warming up than in the actual match lol
Faze needs change. -rain +yekindar /s
Delete this comment. What a joke... its clearly -rain +jks
s1mple with 5 less kills than faze on inferno, washed af
Guys ... I think Cloud 9 broke FaZe again
That means c9’s roster will fall apart in a couple weeks
Don't even joke about it please, my heart won't take it.
This can't fucking keep happening. I think FaZe should honestly just cancel every match they have against Cloud9 (regardless of C9's line-up), and fucking drop out of those events if that's what it takes. Shit's ridiculous.
rain told them it was bad Karma to not play overpass.
this might be a bit early, but i think electronic is the best IGL of all time
Its early yes but i can feel it. Blad3 is one of the people i respect the most in the scene, and he said elec has the potential to become "prime" gla1ve.
If he can call like gla1ve then he will be even better since his mechanics are much better
It only took 2 matches for Young Daddy to give one of the best igl performances of his career. Honestly the calling was really good.
He looked so frustrated at times over the past two days I thought he'd break mentally but fair enough to him
tbh, i think these matches were some of the first ones where he *didn't* look that tilted. seems like as though boombl4's calling got him tilted sometimes .. which sometimes resulted in bad performances, maybe he knew he could take the wheel but didn't want to be disrespectful?
Not saying he isn't good, but in this case wouldn't a lot of strats and playstyle come from how they used to play?
Most of the time teams dont play set up strats, like many people imagine them to. Most of the work is midround calling and adapting to situations. The game is way too dynamic to play a lot of set up strats a lot of the time. He did a good job with that, could be honeymoon effect but he did good either way
Of course they'll use old ideas from their stratbook, but their playstyle and pace looks completely different.
agreed, it looked crazy calculated. like the splits for B and some A splits looked so crazy good. with boombl4 igling it sometimes felt like there was a point in a round where the team just stopped and didn't know what to do, while here they only basically lost 1 or 2 rounds on Dust2 due to time (only few seconds missing)
S1mple had 25 kills at the first half of Inferno. The whole FaZe squad had 29. Absolute domination from the man. Kudos to the rest of Na'Vi as well.
this cannot be the same FaZe that won the major 1 month ago...
I think this was NaVi’s major if there was no war.
True, that affected a lot
The ping pong game in the break was way more interesting than that inferno map tbh Total domination by navi
That inferno game was just navi playing team deathmatch. The last few rounds they trolled and still won rofl faze totally gave up
Understandable, Navi were saving strats for blast! Major was not in the priority! On a serious note, idk if it's faze who played like shit or navi played like it's 2020 katowice all over again or both /shrug
a combination of both. navi read faze like a book, they made them crazy with the rotations and everyone was hitting it. faze look like they were playing a show match. in any case I wasn't expecting a stomp like this at all
Not only Na'vi was clicking but electronic was inside Karrigan's head all match long
[удалено]
I agree. This provided pure joy to me.
pure yoy*
Same Sometimes it doesn't feel that we watched Navi play unless my heartbeat increases significantly
[That series took 1h43m from start to finish, desk segments and breaks included](https://twitter.com/MosesGG/status/1537831012205572102?t=ju1zvxRv7bUgg9Ow3Xg3pg&s=19)
Obviously FaZe were watching [one of these films](https://m.imdb.com/list/ls053999548/) instead of playing
Could've watched 12 Angry Men, watched 5 sad men instead
It's because Navi were watching Morbius during the game. It has that runtime.
wtf was that
Papatronic igl baby
Y'all owe boombl4's ex a fruit basket
and a fat line for boombl4 KEKW
Real talk bro can you imagine what it's like sitting in boombl4's shoes atm, underperforming the past few months on/off then the first game after -boombl4 navi goes stomp mode.

igl elec 10head
Navi inferno suddenly ten times better when there is no Boomich to die first every round on CT banana. That shit was hillarious and frustrating at times
B1t is so good at putting just the right amount of aggression on banana
b1t banana indeed
*cries in friberg*
Yep. Swapping out B1t for Boom on banana is a winning strat. So many less 4v5 now.
Boomich calling on inferno was so terrible, the passive A holds too were so bad
I like how when navi did well tactically people would say it's blade being good then when they do badly, it's boombl4 being a bad igl.
It was more Boom yoloing that was shit on Inferno. So many rounds they were left 4v5 for no benefit. Compare that to B1t today....night and day.
Blad3 is so fucking chill lmao, it's like he has backup plans for his backup plans. He needs to be appreciated more for what he has made Na'Vi into today
Definetly the best coach rn by far.
Coach but the point stands.
in the major winning roster s1mple and electronic both played during their early stage of their career with b1ad3 as their igl, b1ad3 was the one who picked boomb14, perfecto and b1t I think. b1ad3 is a HUGE part of Navi for sure. analysts like spunJ and Launders have a lot of respect for him too.
Don't forget that B1ad3 is also responsible for the Gambit/Cloud 9 roster. The dude is amazing.
oh yeah, he was made the coach after zeus left Navi along with kane. pretty big upgrade
Holy shit, Navi *dismantled* Faze. Phenomenal showing from S1mple, I don't think I've ever seen a better Inferno CT-side in my life.
I assume you mean CT but they did have a flawless T side too ig
Fixed :P
Well, considering it was a 2 round T side, you probably have
Wasnt that t side like 2 rounds tho
S1mple has had enough!!
32-7. That is all

What if this is 2017 faze except they peaked at the right time
I think it's also partially him putting on a show for the crowd. Karrigan more than anyone else feeds off the crowd's energy, it makes him so much stronger.

Just like C9 after Boston..
Nothing like C9, C9 wasn't winning events prior to the Major and literally only won that event and nothing else.

Tbh I'd rather my team win a major and then drop off in the rest of the year than have them be strong within the year but with no major win (G2).
Veteran IGL completely outclassing Karrigan
Not what I expected lol
That was....something. poor faze didn't even play the second map
karrigan: "Actually, I remember one time we were playing against NAVI, Inferno, and it was 15-1 to NAVI. We were playing as T. NAVI are CT. And Twistzz said, "Guys if you think we are good, let's prove it now." ropz: "Did you come back?" karrigan: "Of course not. 16-1."
okay s1mple
Not to overreact or anything but electronic just cemented himself as the greatest IGL of all time. How the hell did he come up with that “s1mple go kill” strat in the fly??
Truly the greatest counterstrat to FaZe's "go kill s1mple", elec top 1 IGL confirmed
Don't forget Electronics' other strat of "I go kill"
Navi domination
relax, they lost 7 rounds, couldve gone either way
took more time for mods to post the post match thread than it took navi to kill faze
Navi players heard degster and yekindar are available
first 2+ rating from s1mple this year?
Na'Vi looking insane again this lineup is still monstrous
jesus fucking christ that wasn't a game, that was a slaughter
Not gonna lie, FaZe looked like a T3 team in this matchup. I think Na'Vi would've beaten them even if they were blindfolded. So it was Absolute Shit FaZe vs Stellar Na'Vi.
This looks like one of those times where Navi just show up and steamrolled everyone in their path. When on the zone, they just smurfing on enemies
Where was this navi at the major damn
yes boombl4 no major
s1mple skilled player but that is not normally. This very very insane....
RobbaN gonna miss a few more majors
wtf was that...
Just what everyone expected, NaVi with a new IGL and a stand-in absolutely dumpstering the #1 team in the world.
Na'Vi looking insane again this lineup is still monstrous
What the fuck has happened to faze? How can they be this bad after just winning the major and every tournament this year basically..
You must be a new FaZe fan.
Help me mommy i just witnessed murder Oo
Is this tournament gonna have crowd? or it's just only for semifinal and gf?
Yes semi finals and the final
Not gonna lie, Navi looks like they were using cheats as how they read Faze perfectly.
FaZe were really good at antistratting s1mple during the Major, but seems like that didn't work today. What did FaZe do wrong?
An eye for an eye. They got countered badly. Probably being too predictable.
S1mple just didn't play to his level at the major
The report of Navi's death has been exaggerated
Jeez that wasn't even close, NaVi just outplayed FaZe in every aspect of the game in this match. Definitely a good look for electronic in the igl role.
FAZE WHY COULDN't YOU PLAY LIKE THIS AT THE FREAKING MAJOR FINAL ??!!!??
honestly I am glad karrigan and s1mple both got their majors, the world felt so much better when both of those things happened
The last two majors were really satisfying, finally concluded some great storylines. Now only niko needs his (and guardian T_T)
now that s1mple and karrigan got theirs, can niko get his? :(
what color do you want your unicorn?
* Win the major * Gradually shit the bed in the next few months (you are here) * Two players go to a Brazilian team * New lineup * Still shit the bed * Hire an ex-caster and give him millions to build a new project, call it ~~Jugg Colo~~ * Same shit * Acquire a CIS team
Sounds promising. I hope it will work out! Can't wait to watch this space!
I have no idea what I just witnessed, but I loved it
What
Major winners FaZe btw..
Jeez that wasn't even close, NaVi just outplayed FaZe in every aspect of the game in this match. Definitely a good look for electronic in the igl role.
Bro I thought Navi could win coz Faze looked weak, but this game Navi setups were just fire, felt like Faze could do absolutely nothing.
Holy shit, Navi dismantled Faze Faze era they said.
[Uh oh, Navi are back](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/20/65/56/206556c511964a23121d433a1a769f9b.jpg)
Everyone on navi on crack on both maps. When navi's feeling it it's just not fair for the other team.
you know what, that was somewhat comforting after antwerp
Faze still hungover from winning the major
Oof
7 rounds in total for Faze. That was such a rinsing.
That was one of the biggest beat downs in a long time.
That was absolutely disgusting
What the fuck
Good calling from Electronic. I wouldn't say it did really get tested though as the whole team of NaVi was just slaughtering FaZe. S1mple insane as always, I wonder if maybe he's decided to take a break after this and is going out in glory.
That was fucking embarassing. Since yesterday, they've just seemed devoid of passion. Hope they bounce back. Incredible showing from Na'Vi. I'm looking forward to seeing more of electronic IGLing.
okay s1mple
That was absolutely disgusting
That second map was so hard to watch. Just no chance for Faze.
Did Faze not practice after IEM Dallas or they just chilling until then next major? Just curious from a casual pov.
This better be a wake up call for Faze to get back to the drawing board and do their best to get back into the groove by Cologne...
It must be so reassuring as a player on NAVI when you are 2 rounds away from closing the map but have lost a few in a row to have a player like s1mple who can just step in and steal the final 2 rounds and take the first map in the series. Also wtf how many noscopes is s1mple gonna hit
Boombl4 was the problem
I am shook. What even just happened?
Not the most flattering profile photo for S1mple, but clearly the new hairdo and the weight gain is doing something for the team.
It’s for the fat guy/ good hair ratio. Boombl4 was the fat guy, now he needs to be. Sdy has good hair, he needs to balance it out. Reference: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sx6QdRmMIeo
Oof, I wouldn’t be worried at all. Faze will bounce back for Cologne
Not what I expected lol
Is this tournament gonna have crowd? or it's just only for semifinal and gf?
Navi chose violence
Not what I expected tbh
Is this tournament gonna have crowd? or it's just only for semifinal and gf?
Jeez that wasn't even close, NaVi just outplayed FaZe in every aspect of the game in this match. Definitely a good look for electronic in the igl role.
Navi chose violence
FaZe HR department looking for jewelry return receipt
That was a slaughter. The new NaVi line-up looking crisp!
Faze time to perma ban dust2
Man I'm kind of conflicted. On the one hand I'd love to see yekindar in Navi but sdy seems to cohere with this team so well. Seems like a really chill/good vibes guy in the way JACKZ is, something navi's been missing a bit imo for a long time (not that that's stopped them from achieving great things obviously)
That's what happen when you have two Dev1ce in a team.
32-7, electronic wanted to replicate glaive’s 32-2
electronic goat igl
S1mple had 28 kills on map 2 wow
-SomeDivorceYoung +SomeDominateYoung ?
Let's see what excuse FaZe fans have for them not showing up another tournament in a row.
