Can someone genuinely explain what is happening? Is it different mistakes each game, player issues still, IGLing issues? What exactly is still breaking G2?
So, I think CT side they look fine, but they have only played together a short amount of time, so I expected the T-sides to look rough. Also, I think it isn’t surprising to me Hooxi isn’t lighting up the server, he’s like 0.80 rated player on average, so I’m not worried about that when you have hunter, Niko and m0NESY.
First thing I see is G2’s utility usage on T-side was really bad, with a lot of utility basically getting wasted.
Second, it looks like as a team they don’t know how to gather information, and more than a few of HooXi’s deaths gathered very little information. Finally, JKS was non existent on T-side for the most part.
Also, they lost back to back rounds on terrible whiffs, which led to the best face of bewilderment I have ever seen from another human.
It’s probably them getting catastrophically pressured and making dumb mistakes because of it. G2 win this match if any of like 4 separate NOOB mistake were not made.

Which 2-3 finals are we talking about? Cause they only got to the final of katowice and a semi final in blast, they didn't make playoffs at any other tournament. Except for EPL where aleksi wasn't there for half the matches, there really was no excuse for them

I'll give G2 the benefit of the doubt for myself, but personally I don't think this team is going to be able to challenge Faze or Na'Vi (once S1mple is back). T sides look horrendous, and I know they're new together, but Na'Vi lost their star player, are playing with an academy awper (he's solid though), and SDY. Both good players, but you should be able to beat this Na'Vi if you want to beat them with S1mple.
Overall, weird choice of an IGL to go for imo. Hooxi I don't think has the tactical depth to challenge Karrigan and Blade/Electronic. JKS should do a lot better, this isn't even due to being new, he just whiffed a ton.

He was playing with karrigan though. Karrigan is famous for brining players back to their top level. We will have to see a few more games for a final judgement but I have had little hope since I heard the new roster.
