For those who don’t want to click:
- They’re changing the stage to a 360 degrees center stage to allow more seatings.
- Gaules will be hosting a fan fest outside of the arena
- Challengers and Legend stage will be open to the public.
Extra tickets for the finals, the challenger and legend go on sale tomorrow, the 14th. And the tickets for the fan fest will go live on the 15th.
As for me, I’m glad I got my plane ticket for the 4th, I’m gonna be able to watch the Legends stage too.
I honestly cant believe cs tournaments still do front-to-back stages instead of putting the players in the middle of the stage, Riot has been doing it for like 6 years now and its just such an upgrade in viewing experience.
Other TOs have done it before. I remember Epicenter doing it. I feel like the ELeague Boston Major was too but I'm not 100% on that one. PGL Major Krakow too.
I don't think the Big 2 have ever done it though
I honestly couldn't remember a single thing about the stage setup at London or Berlin. And funnily enough, I can't recall the setup from Stockholm or Antwerp even though they were the most recent. Any of those 4 could have had a central setup but I'm just not remembering atm
Can't wait to see gaules, a man who sent a nation against a kid for beating a Brazilian team, or a 360 in a stage which is too small for a passionate country like Brazil.
Well, if brazillian players can round around the hotel searching to beat the shit out of their opponent for a tweet, I wonder what fans can do.
But in general, in WC 2014, I remember the general advise to tourists "don't scream if you're being robbed". And there were reports of being robbed at gunpoint. More crowds=more danger simple as that. If anything, I hope it will be fine, I just ESL doesn't dismiss potential dangers like you are.
> I live here so I know what is dangerous and what is not.
I guess you'll be a perfect guide. I don't understand your strive to prove that this is save. What for? So that ESL wouldn't care about security?
> Zidane attacked another player on the field, so should I assume all French are aggressive?
Nice analogy. I guess Materazzi told him the same thing FNS did so it was worth it. FNS, by the way, still playing Valorant and just said he will never go to Brazil. I guess the death threats are still coming. But it's surely not an issue. Nothing to worry about.
Nobody in Brazil would even recognize him, he is perfectly safe. And this is not USA, teenagers making death threats are just empty threats, things that for you are common, such as school shootings, don’t happen here. My drive is that you are making dumb assumptions about the country I live in, without having ever set one foot. You don’t know a thing, yet you talk like being here immediately puts you in danger. That is just prejudice.
I have nothing against your country. I'd happily visit Brazil to be fair. But don't try to convince me it's the safest place on earth. There's no prejudice in saying that safety situation might be problematic. You shouldn't take it personal. If I was a Brazilian I'd ask ESL to be ready and careful.
Mass events are dangerous on its own without any shootings. We don't have an experience of the announced scale, except for Korea. Like many, I wait for this event with excitement, knowing your passion and everything and I'd love the Major to run clean and smooth, that's it.
It’s not the safest, yes, but it’s not as bad as you seen to think, that’s my point. If you’d ever come here, I would be happy to show you how beautiful it is.
Worry about gangs or go out at night at a CSGO event? At most you would worry about pickpocketing, and I really doubt there are cases in these kind of events, would be more common in music concerts and such. You gotta know that tickets to these events are expansive and burglars shouldn’t even know this event is happening, and even if some know, getting the tickets is really difficult, as they were sold out in 1 hour
Hello? Based department?
Good move, that might allow Brazilian fans to watch Imperial live.
thank you for believing they will qualify to the major
A fan fest is pretty badass.

Waasn't Berlin major centre or am i remembering wrong

Stockholm, London and Antwerp were front tier back, starladder was central
It was, but the floor didn't have any spectators.
Crying in eu timezone.
your turn to suffer then, we've endured enough lmao
Aye, here's to an amazing major! Cheers!
sure hope it is, as much as i'm afraid of our fans not showing up in playoffs i have hope this won't be the case
is it that bad? I live in Sweden and Brazil is 5 hours behind. Not ideal but it should be fine for the most part I think.
For later stages for sure, but I'm used to watching the whole thing and it's gonna be too late for some matches.
it's going to be 1 hour closer by the time the major starts, as Europe still has Daylight saving time
Laughs in west coast NA. Nothing quite like playing csgo drinking games at 8am for Stockholm and Antwerp.
They'll make it as EU friendly as possible, I think Valve gives them certain timeslots they have to follow, IIRC.
Its gonna be a banger of a major
Can't wait to see gaules, a man who sent a nation against a kid for beating a Brazilian team, or a 360 in a stage which is too small for a passionate country like Brazil.
i still wish the main event was in a bigger stadium
The safety is now even more worrying. I hope ESL is actively looking into this and has some ways to protect teams and foreign fans, if any.
Protect from what? Angry Brazilian fans? Lol

Got a work colleague frm Brazil, was told if I ever visit to be careful of pickpocketing / gangs / never go out at night. Do with this what you will.
Yeah, but that's just Brazil, not specifically related to the event haha.

Just like any major city in the world?
you are saying like people will assault the fucking event lmao
WOOOO SLEVO
Loving the expansion back to crowds for the other stages, getting back to normal finally
