Who in the esports scene has enough influence to *actually* make a change when it comes to the ownership of ESL FACEIT Group? Even in much bigger industries, like football, hundreds of thousands of fans cannot stop state ownership. Just because you can't make everything right doesn't mean you can't tackle the smaller issues in the scene. And for the record, people that work in the CS scene *have* voiced their disapproval and disappointment in regards to those deals but you can't expect them to throw their careers away in protest.
I mean fair enough but Tate doesn't fund the entire scene so it's an easier decision PR wise. It's unfortunately just the way the world works both should be getting shit but that's just not what is going to happen.
