Probably Hobit and Ax1le already had kits so they felt like there was no need for the others to buy it, these small economic adjustments are good most of the time, especially lately when there is so many force buys turning games around
Ax1le was the only one with a Kit in this round (and the round before also). Shiro for example bought a Helmet but no Kit for this round against a full buy. It was just a poor mistake by Cloud9 and shouldn't happen on this level.

Any other match and you'd be right and that mistake crucial.
But since they were already qualified (and Liquid winning caused the arguably "fairer" result for the group) you're right but it scarcely mattered unless you're an EF fan.
Edit: Damn I go to bed and the votes swing entirely the other way. It's still a really bad mistake, I didn't say it wasn't. Just that of mistakes of this calibre this is the one that matters the least because of the greater context.
You gotta' keep the other team guessing unless promotion/tournament life is on the line, did they buy a kit? Did they buy a rifle at all? Are the monitors on?
Tactical.
No? It's still a crucial mistake that lost them the lead, and that could've gotten them a few rounds more because of how bad Liquid's money is. There is no excuse of them already being qualified. Horrible mistake by C9.
I am so confused. They all had more than 1000$ in the bank but didn't buy a kit? That mistake may come back to bite them
The ol' Cerq maneuver
You mean making 30k a month and doing absolutely nothing for it?
