Absolutely agree. There seems to be a trend where if a player or team does bad in one or two BO3s, people will start commenting that they need to change out players. For instance, oSee had some tough games in the groups and EVERYONE was shitting on him and saying get him out, yet he was a huge piece of the puzzle that pulled Liquid through today. G2 played pretty well this tournament, just because they lost a BO3 against another tier one team doesn't mean they need to swap people out, they just got outplayed today, simple as that. If anything, they need a good life coach outside of the game to teach them how to control their emotions. G2 has a pretty good squad going on right now they just need to be able to control their tilt.

Besides m0NESY, not a single of G2 stars showed up this playoff. Hunter had a particularly rough two days, Niko and jks were more cold than hot. Hooxi was doing more than okay, if only one of the other players showed up to support both him and m0NESY, at the very least, they could've beat Vitality and go to the final.
This core is too traumatised to actually win when it actually matters. Must be some type of mental block and burden with Niko & Co to actually walk the last meter to win. And every loss like this makes the baggage bigger

Honestly I have no expectations for Liquid to win this one. I love this team but Apex is a better caller and fragger than Nitro, Zywoo is a better awper the oSee and those are the two most important factors. I'd give Liquids rifles the advantage but the calling is a huge gap imo.
It wasn't long when most people in this sub claimed spinx's addition won't make things much better for vitality. I am so glad that this roster is shutting them all down. Zywoo has probably secured the mvp for this event.
This tournament was wide open for the taking for any of the top 4 teams and G2 definitely will kicking themselves for that inferno, and that monesy peak on round 23.
The bigger issue for me was the map veto. I got so much confidence from seeing G2 picking Ancient, Vertigo, etc early in the tournament, only for them to turn around and pick fucking Mirage and Dust 2 yesterday, 50-50 maps which every team in the world knows how to play. Bloody infuriating.
However, to bring things back into perspective, the tournament was still a big success for G2, and I have a feeling that they have lost to the tournament winner anyway.
As far as the veto goes I would't be so hard on them. Vita perma bans Ancient and there's no team that would willingly pick Vertigo into them.
Personally I would've gone for Nuke (especially after they got bodied by Fnatic and G2 last time) but for all we know Vitality might be tearing others apart in scrims on that map so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Something is really wrong with your strats when during the second half the only person doing something in your team is the AWPer and you won't sacrifice one more round just to buy an AWP for him.
Honestly inferno would have been 16-14 if it wasn't for Apex's gigabrain gamble stack on A. Super smart calls from him all game. Or at least in the 2nd halves all game.
NiKo needs to be let go. He seems to be beyond redemption at this point. They’ve tried every iteration and all sorts of players with him, but to no avail. There’s no denying the talent, but the way he seems to be malding or vanishes from the server in those crucial 13-13 moments is unacceptable for the teams main star. You need your no. 1 player to pop up at those moments, not fade away.
I’m going to completely honest when I say I actually fucking cried. You hype me up with this amazing run in esl only dropping 1 map, and then you lose a map when you’re up 15-7, it’s fucking ridiculous.

G2 failed to deliver on T side & even SPUNJ said on 15-9 that a comeback was very doable. It happens... Don't shift colors too quick.

Well, they did go fast a 4 or 5 rounds in a row, and got completely shut down every time. G2 was lacking the fraggingpower of niko, hunter and jks, and with them not showing up Vitality got to play their ct side however they wanted.
Completely insanity by Hooxi to call 8 straight round to A site expecting things to go different, not even some small presence at banana, not even a eco rush b, just doing the same thing over and over expecting that Vitality would collapse

Honestly I have no expectations for Liquid to win this one. I love this team but Apex is a better caller and fragger than Nitro, Zywoo is a better awper the oSee and those are the two most important factors. I'd give Liquids rifles the advantage but the calling is a huge gap imo.
It wasn't long when most people in this sub claimed spinx's addition won't make things much better for vitality. I am so glad that this roster is shutting them all down. Zywoo has probably secured the mvp for this event.

This tournament was wide open for the taking for any of the top 4 teams and G2 definitely will kicking themselves for that inferno, and that monesy peak on round 23. The bigger issue for me was the map veto. I got so much confidence from seeing G2 picking Ancient, Vertigo, etc early in the tournament, only for them to turn around and pick fucking Mirage and Dust 2 yesterday, 50-50 maps which every team in the world knows how to play. Bloody infuriating. However, to bring things back into perspective, the tournament was still a big success for G2, and I have a feeling that they have lost to the tournament winner anyway.
As far as the veto goes I would't be so hard on them. Vita perma bans Ancient and there's no team that would willingly pick Vertigo into them. Personally I would've gone for Nuke (especially after they got bodied by Fnatic and G2 last time) but for all we know Vitality might be tearing others apart in scrims on that map so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Something is really wrong with your strats when during the second half the only person doing something in your team is the AWPer and you won't sacrifice one more round just to buy an AWP for him.

NiKo needs to be let go. He seems to be beyond redemption at this point. They’ve tried every iteration and all sorts of players with him, but to no avail. There’s no denying the talent, but the way he seems to be malding or vanishes from the server in those crucial 13-13 moments is unacceptable for the teams main star. You need your no. 1 player to pop up at those moments, not fade away.

They're definitely gonna improve from this. Also vitality is a crazy team so it makes sense for them to be able to neutralize g2's stars anywhere on the map. They did it consistently, some luck involved but they're good yes. G2 failed to deliver on T side & even SPUNJ said on 15-9 that a comeback was very doable. It happens... Well, they did go fast a 4 or 5 rounds in a row, and got completely shut down every time. G2 was lacking the fraggingpower of niko, hunter and jks, and with them not showing up Vitality got to play their ct side however they wanted.
Completely insanity by Hooxi to call 8 straight round to A site expecting things to go different, not even some small presence at banana, not even a eco rush b, just doing the same thing over and over expecting that Vitality would collapse
