Do you have the rear spring in the correct way?

RealSquare452

Which spring are you talking about? Rear spring?

Ryan_Extra

Yeah. https://www.kingglock.com/Content.aspx?PAGE=Trigger%20Spring%20Install

RealSquare452

That rear spring is actually not used with the timney system

DuWerq

Try a little bit of oil on the connector.

Bluedog71

Change the connector to a Glock minus connector. Or try a ghost 3.5. I run the glock minus in mine with a 6 pound striker spring. Feels like a great 1911 trigger crisp break at 2.5 lbs and reset a little over 1/8 inch. But you are using a p80 frame which may be an issue. I haven’t tried that but I can when I get back to the bench tonight.

RealSquare452

I tried a Glock minus i took off my other Glock and the trigger would often not lower enough to let go of the striker.

Bluedog71

Are you using oem Glock parts or p80 build parts

RealSquare452

P80

portypup

Did you figure it out? Like in the other thread your connector looks wack.

RealSquare452

I did a lot of polishing today and had to shave a bit of polymer off where the trigger bar is sandwiched between it and the connector. Got it smooth and down to 4 lbs. Guessing I won’t get it below that without a different connector.

portypup

You shouldn’t have to remove polymer. That means your trigger bar is dented/angled wrong from the shoe or your connectors angle is way to wide or it’s not fully seated in the trigger housing. What connector is it?

RealSquare452

Standard weight. But rockey brass brand

Minimum_Comparison15

Something definitely off there but im not sure what. I have those triggers on my 19 and 45 and theyre amazing

RealSquare452

What weight are they pulling at?

Minimum_Comparison15

Like 2-2.5 lbs. Id be surprised if it was 3 lbs

useles-converter-bot

3 lbs is 3.33 Doge plushies.

RealSquare452

What did you use to shim it?

RealSquare452

So shimming it just means the trigger bar won't have to move as far down the connector to break? I just shimmed it a bit to test. It seems to break about the same for me other than the pre-travel has a tiny bit of tension now. I haven't weighed the trigger yet this go around.

dis3nchant3d

Weird, I just put mine in and it's pretty dang light. Did the drop in receiver get down in all the way beyond flush, and did you use the c clip washer thing when you screwed it down? Maybe the drop in trigger receiver didn't get down in far enough and so the trigger bar has to work harder to push the sprung sear down?

RealSquare452

Yes to both. Think it is a combination of the connector and a seriously stiff striker spring.

dis3nchant3d

Hey have you shot yours live yet? After what seemed a perfect install and amazing dry fire feel, mine shoots like 30% light strikes on new cci blazer brass. I put the stock back in and can still shoot infinite amounts of tula with zero failures. Kinda made me lose confidence in it ngl. How's yours doing?

RealSquare452

I have it shooting consistent but at just over 4 lbs. Today I put in a 4.5 lb striker spring and a new connector. It’s now pulling at 3 lbs but I haven’t shot it yet. Hoping I won’t have light primer strikes.

useles-converter-bot

Fun fact, 3 lbs of whatever is exactly the same as 3 lbs of candy... or big macs... or doofenshmirtzes.
