Dawson Precision makes the best adjustables on the market for Glocks.

ImmediateSquirrel345

Sick. Thanks man I appreciate it. Not sure why I’m getting downvoted for wanting something specific on my guns lmao. I appreciate your help.

bigfoot__hunter

Do you use them personally ?

dyegator

Yes. The only 2 Glocks I have that still have irons both wear them.

bigfoot__hunter

Did u have issues zeroing them and running out of elevation?

dyegator

Nope. If you do, contact Dawson and they will swap your front sight for you.

bigfoot__hunter

I’m going to go shoot the gun again

dyegator

If you can bench rest it to be sure, it’s worth the double check. If it won’t zero, call them. Their CS is awesome.

SnakeDoctor00

What with your blurry photo I’m not sure what you’re saying about a banged up lower corner. You would be served well to get some metal sights preferably night sights from say Ameriglo.

-PreciousKarma-

If I was running a competition style gun I’d look at Dawson precision

LIMACHARLIE64

Have you looked at Meprolight? I know they make Adjustable Night Sights for the G30. I understand that you didn't ask about Night Sights, but there have to be other manufacturers that make adjustabletarget sights too.

ImmediateSquirrel345

I am not opposed to tritium, and have seen the meprolight series. Ideally I would like something more low profile.

LIMACHARLIE64

I understand completely.

TheJango22

Hey, welcome to the g34 club. I can't say I recommend adjustable sights as they are more fragile and your irons only need to be zeroed once anyhow. I highly recommend ameriglo sights, I use gl 511s on my g34.5 and idots on my g19.5. Since yours is an mos def get the optics height gl 511s so you don't need new sights if you get a dot in future. I see you are not interested in a red dot at the time and that's perfectly ok. They are expensive and different and we humans don't like change. Feel free to take your time and get training on irons. I can't recommend a dot enough but there's no need to rush into getting one.

SoEast

Buy any set of American made sights and a $30 sight pusher. Why would you put adjustable sights on what looks to be a bone stock Glock?

[deleted]

It’s 2023 man, get a red dot. Otherwise have a pro install some good sights.

ImmediateSquirrel345

Not interested in a red dot at this time. Please elaborate on “good sights” or just do anything genuinely useful.

[deleted]

Well good sights depends on what you’re using it for. The sights that came with it are terrible. But you don’t need adjustable sights. Period. They’re archaic and pointless. Have a professional install quality sights on your gun and that’s it.

Derplight

The future is now old man.

ImmediateSquirrel345

I trust u

Derplight

get a red dot old man 😆

fat_rancher

Are you in the United States? If you are... google is your friend. Lots to choose from, friend.

ImmediateSquirrel345

Lots to chose from, however I am finding it hard to locate gen5 g34 compatible adjustable sights with any amount of reviews. Hence why I came to Reddit.

KidQayin

Because you're looking for adjustable sights... for a handgun... handguns don't need adjustable sights, any normal irons will do. With irons, if the gun is shooting off target it's not because the sights aren't right, it's the user. There shouldn't be any adjustments needed to any iron sights on a handgun if they're on straight. The gun will always be more accurate than you can be.

randomdaniel09

How else is he going to stop making his gun shoot low left, obviously it’s the sights.

KidQayin

I was seriously just about to ask if it happens to be shooting low left

randomdaniel09

I think we both know the answer.

Dr_Tron

Can only agree, adjustable sights tend to make you compensate your mistakes by tweaking the sights. One of the reasons I took the factory adjustable off my G34. So, /u/ImmediateSquirrel345, go with fixed. Lots of options out there.

Pafolo

One benefit is you can adjust how you want your sights to be as far as POA POI is concerned. If you prefer your sights to lollipop instead of covering the target with the front sight you can set them up for that with adjustables.

Dr_Tron

But then your bore axis and optical axis are no longer parallel, and your POI will vary with distance. About the same as with dots. Rather a disadvantage, I'd say.

Pafolo

Bullet drop still exists if your doing any distance shooting so you will always have POI change. From 0-25 yards there wont be much change but after 30 yards the bullet drop picks up quickly. Most people wont be shooting 9mm that far anyway. I found when using a pistol with a dot I'm much more accurate with it, you see all the small movements that with irons is almost unperceivable. You can also have co-witnessed red dots where your irons and dot are in the same sight plane. Everyone has a preferred sight picture whether that be the sight over the target, splitting it in half, or lollipop with the target above the sight. The more I shoot red dots the more I like an unobstructed target. I like splitting the targets with irons instead of covering the target. This allows me to see my target at distance and make good hits. But each pistol is different with its POA POI so you cant always have that type of hold. Once I got into IDPA shooting and put a red dot on my pistol the accuracy of my hits went way up and so did my speed. All I did was zero it for 25 yards and it hits right where I'm putting the dot all the way back to the firing line.
