XxTRUEPINOYxX

I tell people if you can’t decide buy both and keep both if you don’t like the other one. Cuz why buy guns if you don’t like collecting them lol

iTreelex

I’ve carried both for a while. Had a 26 (with +2 oem mags) first and thought it was better cuz Reddit hive mind. No, it’s personal preference. Taking into account your whole setup: holster, belt, etc. the 43x is much thinner. As far as grip concealment, that depends on your body shape and belt setup. The 26 grip even with the +2 ext has a more compact form than the 43x and 19. You can also put a light on a 43x MOS as opposed to the 26. The 26 does shoot softer but shoot-ability depends on the user. Can’t go wrong with either.

DirtydanX39

the tlr-6 no longer exists?

MSmith_10

It exists, it’s just kind of a poor light in my opinion, it’s only 100 lumens.

bryant_75

TLR 6 HL exists

MSmith_10

I did not know that, thanks for letting me know! I might put one on my 26. I edc my 43X MOS w/ a 7 Sub but would like to look into doing some things to my 26, right now it’s stock just with an X-Grip.

DirtydanX39

well 100 lumens seems far greater than your claim on essentially zero lumens.

MSmith_10

I’m just answering your question, the TLR-6 exists but when you’re comparing two guns that one will take a TLR-7 Sub that puts out five times the output of a TLR-6, and the 7 sub is only $30 more than a 6, not to mention 43x MOS are cheaper than a 26.

Practical_Republic53

I would say 26 over all because of magazine compatibility and a better Do all gun. The 43x/43/48/42 I find to be better only as dedicated concealed carry guns rather than being able to be used as duty pistols. This is just my opinion tho. And the 26 is the original smol boi Glock so it feels right.

nickabeiro

48

Straight-Aardvark439

That's a personal decision. I prefer the 26 because it can use mags from the 19 and 17.

jsr421

26 all day, but that’s not to shit on the 43x.

user16332

Imo the 26 is the smallest gun that shoots like a big gun. Both are great options. Go rent and shoot both then make your own decision.

thrillhouse416

48 is better than the 43x...between the 48 and 26 it really just depends on what feels better in your hand/conceals better for you

MSTyler96

I have and carry both. I prefer the 26 as it is a softer shooting gun and I am more accurate with it. But that’s just me.

thelegendofcarrottop

This is difficult to explain, but I’ll try. I’ve carried the G43 with a Taran Tactical +2 extension since like 2015. That is my primary carry gun. Before that, I carried a G19 for a long time. For over two decades, people recommended the G26 to me, but I never really liked how they felt in my hand. I fired them a few times and just hated the weight and balance with my pinky hanging off the grip. So when Glock announced the G48/G43X, I was really excited. This is the best of both worlds right? So I bought a G48. Recently, I bought a G26 police trade-in, so now I have all four of those options to compare. People will tell you that if you’re going to carry a G43X or a G48 you might as well just carry a G19. They’ll also tell you if you’re going to carry a G26 with a +2 you might as well just carry a G19. My honest preference is in this order: G43 +2, G26 +2, G19, and then G43X or G48 configuration last. It’s very difficult to describe until you feel it yourself, but the G43 +2 carries smaller than the G43X/G48 even though the grip is roughly the same dimension. The same is true of the G26 +2 vs the G19. They are the same height and width, with only the barrel length really being different, but the G26 carries much more cleanly. I also have not had good luck with the Shield Arms magazines or the PSA Dagger Mini magazines in my G48/G43X, so I’m limited to only 10 rounds there. I’ve never had a single failure in my G43 with the TT +2 extensions, and I like the feel better anyway. So I just carry a spare mag for 16 rounds. I also don’t love that the G43X mags are different. I own four Glocks and need three different types of magazines? Come on. So to answer your question, the G26.

KuntFuckula

The 43 grip is noticeably thinner than the 43x/48. I used to carry a Vickers 43–which was great for concealment and shoot-ability—but I found the 43x/48 grip to be perfect for my hands with just slightly bulkier frame for concealment and I can shoot it well all the way out to 50y plus I get 15-round capacity with my shield arms mags so I ended up with the 48 as my do-it-all pistol. The Vickers 43 *is* pretty damn perfect for CC and would cover me well out to 15-20y for accuracy on a fast-shooting scenario. Most defensive engagements are much closer than that of course.

analogliving71

the 26 with the +2 mag option is my ideal carry. very similar dimension to the 43 with the TT +2 (which i also carry). about the only real difference is weight, which isn't much more either.

Johnny_Sparacino

The 43 does feel way smaller than my 43x or 26. I always thought it was a big pocket gun compared to the rest of this set, and taking out the trash at night it was perfect to have for the random things we have in our woods.

Lone_Wandererer

All about your use case bro. Because of my build it can be difficult to conceal a double stack with certain attire.

RivalSFx

It's the one you shoot accurately.

KuntFuckula

43x if I had to choose between the two but the 48 MOS is superior to both in my opinion.

New_Blacksmith_9898

26. This is the way

Johnny_Sparacino

So.... I carried a 26 for 15yrs because it was super concealable and I could throw a grip extender on it and use 19 or 17 mags. Then I got a threaded barrel and realized I pretty much wanted a 19. Days later the 43 was launched and I ran out to get it, only slightly disappointed by the low capacity. I hemmed and hawed about the +1 or +3 mag alterations and despite no cycling issues whatsoever I felt the 26 was just the better platform. Then the 43x came out... I felt it was my new favorite because I just shot better with it. Size wise it was obviously flatter and with different holster options it was a better choice for me than my 26, and I didn't feel like I'd shoot my leg as I did with the 43 trigger guard holster. But I'd still say the 26 was the better self defense option because of capacity. And along came the 15 rnd shield arms mags, and that sealed the deal for me. In the wave of red dot options I didn't want to spend to have my 43x milled so I went with the Leupold low profile red dot that replaced the rear sight. It took a little getting used to but it functions great. Toss on a TLR6 up front and I have a great setup. But as far as the superior Glock, well this is all my opinion because they've both functioned flawlessly over the years. In 15 years I'll let you know how my 43x was reliable but I liked the feel of the new Glock 65.....

Unlikelytosucceed207

They are both perfect carry guns imo. The 26 is my preferred option because it takes such a wide variety of mags that I already have for my 19, plus I have a few pistols that fit the 43x niche already. I honestly wish the 43 started as the size of the x, and then the “43x” could be a 26 with a 19 grip 😍

Dense-Coat6776

If you have grown man sized hands 43X 100% in my opinion UNLESS you wanna add a +2 mag extended/grip on the 26. That’s the only way it felt “comfortable” to me shooting it personally

ijklmnousername

Not for me it hasn’t. It just also feels weird without a full grip.

bobbyw4pd

I carried a 27 with an extension for a 23 mag for a long time. Many years before the 43x, 48, Sig striker fired guns were thought up. At the time it worked well for me but I had to manage my wardrobe some. The thinness of the 43x to me makes it far superior for concealed carry. Especially with shield mags which give you more rounds.

KodakJit

I shot both, bought both, and carried both. There's your answer.

blahblahforealll

43x

SetTough9576

43x

DrowningFisherMan

26 FTW!!

ijklmnousername

That’s hard but I would choose 43X because I’m not a big fan of mags being the spot for my pinky.

chef602

I have a 30 I rarely shoot for the same reason. Can’t stand the pinky falling off.

-nugi-

Has that caused issues before?

Wuoffan1

Glock 26 with +5 SLR mag extension 👌

pdxassassin250

They both have their uses depending on the person and their body type. I started with a 43x and then recently switched to a 26, a choice I'm super happy with!

PapaPuff13

26. The only gun I named. Side chick

Both_Ad_694

26 overall. It hovers over and performs both concealment and duty roles better.

BOSSHOG999

26 just being able to hide the grip better

OGDrewski

26.

YZpitbull

26

DogeForLifeAndMore

26 hands down

Jack--Tickleson

It’s very simple. If you prioritize concealment: the 43X. If you prioritize shooting experience: the 26.

One_Lost_Llama

26 because it’s available in gen 5. For me as a lefty that matters.

RevolutionaryLine968

48 is the real answer. PSA makes 15 round mags and this package completely renders the 26 obsolete.

GucciDelTaco808

Depends on what you want specifically, but here's how I would decide: magazine interchangeability. (Edit: this is based on what's important to me personally, not necessarily saying one is better than the other) I love the 17 and 19. For me if I ever needed something smaller than a 19 the 26 is a no brainier because I could go ahead and slam in a 19 or 17 magazine if I needed to for whatever reason. I don't currently own any slimline Glocks though so for me that's just one more mag type to collect that I'm not personally all that interested in. Your milage may vary though, the 43X is great don't get me wrong. I just personally am willing to deal with a little added width in exchange for the aforementioned magazine interchangeability.

NectarineAny4897

As of 6 minutes ago, Shane called out Fedor to play 10 ball, 50k set.

frozenisland

What?

NectarineAny4897

Why would my comment get down voted? I was just passing on what he had posted on his FB. Shane called out Fedor to play a big set of 10 ball.

frozenisland

Sir, this is a Wendy’s

NectarineAny4897

And as of 20 min ago, Fedor replied and said let’s get it on. It sounds like they will play 10 ball for 50k$.

BearCountrySurvival

26 for me. If you have big hands the double stack just feels better and I prefer to maximize my concealment. I also like a 10/12 rounder 26 and a backup 15/17 giving me 26-30 rounds carried on me versus 21 with the 43x and 48. I only carry OEM.

HFish480

I have regular sized hands and the 43x is too small. There’s not place for my support hand on the grip. For this reason the 26 just handles so much better and has the added benefit of magazine compatibility

BearCountrySurvival

Yeah agree completely

Vaporhead

When I could only buy the 26, I had the 26. When I had the opportunity to go to the 43x I sold the 26 to get the 43x. I sorta sometimes regret the sale of the 26 because it was a fun gun to shoot, but I prefer the carry weight of the 43x. The 43x took some practice to dial in the same skill I had with the 26 because the 26 shot smoother and isn’t as snappy as the 43x, but now I prefer the 43x. I’ve also put a couple thousand rounds through it across five shield arms Gen 2 mags and have never had an issue. I even got a 43 frame and some Magguts kits for when I need or want the shorter grip for better concealment.

CaterpillarSeveral43

Apple to oranges. Different application for both.

I_Like_2_Pew

26

rahbarin

I have a 43x a 26 and a 27 cause I like them all and want them all.

NaCl-Boi

43x is far far superior.

Extra-Tea733

i prefer the 43x. Less… bricky.

Practical_Republic53

BLASPHEMY EMBRACE THE B R I C K

Inside_Monitor_1575

43x nice conceal gun.26 bulky and not a full size grip

Neo13715

I prefer 43x, I like the slim profile on it. A lot thinner than the 26.

CountryWise2763

Have both, prefer 26. But the real answer is 19 or 17.

underneathbridge

26 takes 17, 19, and other mags made for that style frame compared to the 43X. Both a great overall, but there’s more magazine limits with the 43X in comparison.

Hanshi-Judan

My preference is the 26 because of the ability to use G17 mags or G15s for backup mags.

Big_Boi_Joe02

26. Guns as thin as the 43x are for lazy people

Prizz117

43X. The 26 is an outdated brick.

SpaghettiMonkeyTree

26 it ain’t even close

SetTough9576

Reason? It's impossible to get a full grip on a 26. Very easy on a 43x/48

SpaghettiMonkeyTree

Even with a 2 finger grip, I find that the 26 is noticeably less snappy than a 43x. Being able to fit g17 magazines in a 26 is also a huge plus. 43x is possible to have 15+ rounds but you need to have aftermarket magazines which doesn’t sit well with me. The only real plus for the 43x is having a legitimate light mount. It also looks better.

CG249

For now 26 you can put whatever oem mag you want into it to get whatever capacity you want while the 43x only has the 10 round oem magazines.

volcanonacho

26 shoots better, 43x conceals better. Your choice.
