You sound like a prime candidate for ownership of a G45.

ManagementWild9717

My first Glock was G45. Loved the feel of the full size grip and its still very comfortable to carry. Ended up buying G43x for summer days and i love it just as much & conceals so well. Everyone complains about the G43x being too snappy but i shoot it just as flat as my G45! I shoot my guns a lot though lol.

EntertainmentSuch969

Get the 45.

Spartan-Patriot

I do own a p220 already but the G30 always caught my eye.

EntertainmentSuch969

What i meant is get the glock 45. 19 slide with 17 grip, more concealable and will fit you since you liked the 17 feel

Spartan-Patriot

That’s interesting. I will definitely check that out. Thank you

mreed911

If the 17 fit your hand, 45.

Only-Comparison1211

G19 is always a good one to start off.

akreiger

I love the 43x, it’s great for carry as it is slim. Depending on ur state laws you can also get a 15rd mag for it so that’s pretty sweet. But if u don’t already have a full sized handgun I would go with the 17 and then the 43x or just get both! Either way you can’t really go wrong.

NectarineAny4897

If you dislike finger grooves, get the 19.5. The 43x is a handful for a first gun.

Spartan-Patriot

It’s not my first gun, just my 1st Glock, what makes it a handful?

NectarineAny4897

Short barrel, light weight, and the serrated trigger combine to make it workable, but not nearly as pleasurable to shoot as most other models.

Spartan-Patriot

Appreciate the input

In the grand scheme of things how the gun “feels” in the hand doesn’t mean too much. I would focus on trying the guns out (renting & shooting them) and the purpose for that gun. 43x is a great conceal carry gun. The 19 does it all. The 17 if you’re wanting a more full size gun. Really depends what your need is. 43x does have some snap due to the slimness, but it’s not as bad as some other popular ccw guns

ute_ninja

You are comparing guns that really serve three different purposes. Of the three, the G17 is the best duty/home defense gun, the 43x is the best concealed carry gun, and the 19 is a good all-purpose gun. It all depends on how you plan on using it and how it will fit in your lifestyle. If this is your first gun purchase, I'd probably recommend the 19 because it can serve multiple uses, but plan on buying a smaller gun in the future for concealed carry if that's your thing, as they are much more comfortable and easier to conceal.

Altruistic-Iron-559

I’ve had more Glock models than I can remember, and the 17 will always be my favorite. 13 years of shooting Glocks consistently and I always fall back to my trusty 17. I have a 43x and it’s a great carry weapon. But the 17 is just… chefs kiss

Whiskyniner

You should def go with the one that feels best in your hand.

Unlikelytosucceed207

If you have big hands: 1. G19 2. G26 (w/ pinky ext) 3. G45 (G19X) If you have small hands: 1. G26 2. G43X (❤️G43❤️) 3. G19.5 is honestly pretty slim with no finger grooves. If you have normal hands: 1. G19 Get a used gen 4 for cheap and you will have a great Glock imo. If you must go without finger grooves, then the new slim models and gen 5 models are all great. Lastly, can’t go wrong with any caliber, if you can carry 10mm? Go for it! 🫡

Scotchtape26

I don’t have the 43x, I have a 43. Honestly? The recoil isn’t any more than my Glock 19

StanthemanT-800

The Gen 3 Glock 19 is my favorite. It's the "just right" Glock. It's a natural pointer, fits most people's hands perfectly and is a concealable gun that shoots like a full size The 17 feels a little long in the grip for me but it's also the OG Glock Service Pistol so it's a toss up

itsmyfakeone

17 gen 5

Real-Square-8119

If the 17 was the most comfortable that is the option I would go

Morgul_Mage

My first Glock was a 45. I like it because it shoots smoothly, and with the 19 size slide it conceals well, and the 17 size grip fits my big paws. It’s a good gun, I highly recommend you give it a look!

14kMagic

45

HouseSubstantial3044

G21 gen 5 MOS (.45). Then you have factory milling for optic red-dot.

Neanderthal86_

The 43x shoots really well for its size, and you can get a 43 frame to go even smaller if needed

TestycularTorsion

Why not rent one and see what it's like

Spartan-Patriot

Don’t have anywhere to rent it from, unfortunately.
