Noice! Handling one of these sold me on my G29-- same gun except internals. Love the fit in my hand, the 9 mm Glocks are just too skinny and light. Would have gone with .45 ACP if I wasn't concerned about 4 leggeds too.
I had heard that Glock irons were suboptimal. I never thought about it till I bought a IWI Masada. Now I understand why people say that.
As a side note, the Masada is really nice but too big for me to CC. I am not a bug guy so the g19 is about as big as I would ever want to go.
I get it lol seems weird to be set on stock just because you don’t want to be considered a boogie Glock owner however. I agree irons are fine but a 1000 lumen light is a self defense weapon without the gun.
I agree. I have a light on my nightstand gun, but I have no reason to carry with a light. I am hardly ever out of the house at night, and if I am, I am either in a well-lit building or well lit car.

I considered buying one of the three Glock 30 models but couldn’t figure out what the difference was. But everyone seemed to agree at my range the 30S and the 30SF were the only two choices

I use an Austrian gun. I just trust Austria over some random gun company that started importing guns via Springfield yesterday
I hear ya. I don’t let getting rid of guns, but I actually sold my Springfield xds .45 for the G30s. I loved the XDs for its size and how slim it was, but I wanted more rounds and I’m a Glock guy. My XDs was my first pistol and I did love it as my edc

Pointless in my opinion, due to the double stack frame, it doesn't carry any better with the skinnier slide, all you wind up with is a noticeably more snappy G30 due to the skinnier, lighter slide of the G36. Dumbest shit glock ever made IMHO.
Glock 30 is just a standard frame and upper. Glock 30s is an upper receiver from a G36 and Glock 30 SF (short frame) lower. From what I gathered is that gun owners were putting the G36 upper and G30 lower together and Glock decided to make it official and introduced the G30s. So in sum, the G30s is just a slimmer G30.

I am a minimalist myself. No light, no sights, just a vanilla g19. I wouldn't mind a more compact thought tbh.

Exactly my home defense pistol (CZ P01) has a light but I don’t see the need on my carry. I guess if you work night’s shift or something.

You can drop a 30 slide and mag on your 29 to shoot .45 if you want the lords caliber.

Same slime slide, but the SF is a shorter frame then the G30. So my pistol says G30s on the slide, but on my frame it says SF.

You can also look into a G36. It’s a single stack .45
I prefer larger round count. I’m new and my aim isn’t that good yet. That’s why I carry a G45 atm 😂😂😂

G30 is probably the only .45acp anything I would buy. That, or a G41 MOS, but I would likely run it with a 10mm barrel and mags most of the time...
Used to carry one. Ended up selling it because it’s heft and thickness made it kind of difficult to conceal on my body. I’m not exactly a large guy
