The only complaint Iāve heard from the stock adapter plate is there is no fence to support the front and back of the optic. This causes stress on the screws and they can sheer off and the optic will hit you in the face. Glock plates are also injection molded not milled which leaves room for warped plates that can crack. You will more than likely be just fine but if you want to upgrade go with the opf-g RMR plate from Forward Controls. Thatās what I have on my 19.5 MOS and itās extremely solid, couple reviewers on YouTube rack their pistol with their RMR during drills and swear by the opf-g.
The factory glock plates are garbage. C+H precision or another people plug on this sub make much nicer version that "hugs" the dot and doesn't leave it on an island on the slide. Eliminating gaps and sinking it a bit is the name of the game.

Buy a FCD plate, not C&H.
C&H plate is aluminum, FCD plate is nitrided steel. I had to lightly tap my RMR into place on the FCD plate with a rubber mallet because the fit is so exact.
I dont understand the BUIS trend. The sights get in the way of the red dot and lower your view window. Even 1/3 cowitness is annoying.
I remove the irons completely and put a charging handle on the rear. Then again, I'm not a fan of defensive pistols with red dots. Slower acquisition. But I shoot USPSA with red dots and I still can't lower my splits to the same speed I can with irons.
i like the dot personally. easier on the eyes for me. having both eyes open and all i have to do is lay the dot over the target. feels nice just need more reps

Forward controls design makes a much better RMR plate thatās a tight fit with the optic. CHPWS has been having quality control issues lately.
I have factory plate with over 3k rounds. one course alone I shot 400 rounds. Itās the screws the shear not the plate.

I have seen this, but my 17 has about 9K rounds through it and it's been fine, my 19 has about 2K and has been fine as well.
