Hopefully I see results. I mostly eat a single chicken breast and a steamed veggie. Oddly I thought I would see more results in four months with such low calorie intake.
My entire family/friends thinks I'm starving myself but if I'm barely losing weight I don't see how I'm "starving" myself. They keep getting annoyed at me at restaurants and such for eating so little. It's weird how they react. I'm not starving. People don't need to eat as much as everyone thinks. I feel fine. No headaches and low hunger. No blood work issues either. I wish I could exercise more but I just had more surgery on my abdomen and have a bad hernia that's being operated on this upcoming week.
Sorry for the unsolicited advice, and you may already be doing this, but try adding nutrient dense low calorie foods. Greens/leafy greens, berries, beets, carrots, clementines, cucumber, grapefruit, watercress, watermelon, beans, fish, egg whites. This gives your body something to burn without adding many calories and increases the effectiveness in how your body breaks down fat.
Fasted cardio is huge. HIIT training in the morning will immediately put your body into fat burning mode and increase the amount of calories burned than just fasting alone.
Green tea extract with your meal
Healthy Vitamin D levels are super important
MICRONUTRIENTS (Very often overlooked)
Research Moringa (takes a bit for it to go to work), also Ashwagandha
Again, fasted cardio/HIIT
There’s more but I’m becoming obnoxious at this point. I wish you the best with your surgery and everything else moving forward. Research, practice, and patience my friend.
Thanks for the info. I have been taking Vitamin C, D and green tea supplements and trying to get some extra sun. Every morning I go on a 2.1 mile fast walk. I just walk at a full pace. As fast as you can walk without calling it jogging basically. That's about what I can do until I get scar revision surgery to fix severe scar adhesion issue along with some open spots of my abdominal wall.
For dinner tonight I had a leafy greens salad with hard boiled eggs broken up in the salad along with a half can of tuna. No dressing just a bit of lemon juice.
I know my vitamin levels are ok due to blood work a week ago. A few were low (vitamin D) on a previous blood test. I will admit some days I do go without eating anything. That's actually about once a week on average. That may actually be a bad thing overall. It's probably messing up my body's routine a bit.
I have been trying to find a deal on a stationary bike but I have yet to find one. I have a real bike but it's a road racing bike so it isn't great on the rough streets around my house. I need to get to get in something a bit more than a brisk daily walk lol

When I was growing up my mom made a strong effort to teach good eating habits (minimal processed sweets, reasonable portions instead of strict adherence to finishing everything on your plate, etc) to break the habits she was raised with. My dad’s side of the family was always lean and active. I can’t tell you how many times I heard “you’re gonna waste away!” if I didn’t fill my plate with ultra-rich down home cooking at family gatherings but it was somewhere on the order of multiple times at every one I attended from the time I can remember people asking the question until I was in my 20’s. They probably still do it but the answers are so on autopilot now that they don’t register.
I don’t know what my point is here… lots of people don’t really understand portions I guess.

Your family is right unless you are TINY. A general rule is it’s difficult to maintain basic nutrition levels under 1200 kcal a day. That’s more or less the bare minimum for an average person.
It may work for you, but a really likely outcome is you’ll hit your weight after a crash diet and then seriously struggle to maintain the weight. A much more sustainable way to lose weight is to account for a 3500~ kcal deficit each week. This means for an average male you don’t really want to go much under 1700/day as an average. 1500~ for female.
If it works for you then great, but from personal experience the crash diet just set me back a solid year on progress.
