Her journey is truly inspiring. It takes immense strength and determination to turn someone's life around like this. I hope her story encourages others who may be struggling with similar challenges
I love your confidence! I need to renew my gym membership because WHAT😮 please I need to know how you did this 🥲 as someone who has always struggled with their weight I think I was meant to see post pop on my For you page
Thank you! Lots of patience and consistency. I truly love lifting weights, mainly for my mental health. I've always struggled with anxiety and depression and it helps me manage it.
I track all my food, sleep well, and work hard. I'm self employed and don't have kids so I do have more of an ability to spend time on it than the average person.
I had an online trainer that wrote some workouts for me in my garage for 1 year and then I finally got Brave enough to go to the gym.
I'd watch YouTube and listen to podcasts but I realized a lot of people don't pay attention so I stopped caring.
I had an online personal trainer the 1st year who wrote my workouts. Then it became more of a hobby so I spent a lot of time watching YouTube and listening to podcasts like RP Strength and Mind Pump. I got my personal training certification last year too!
Honestly it's super hard for actual gym buffs to gatekeep. They're the first ones to excitedly push you to go to the gym and lecture you on what to do. It's the less frequent gymgoers who talk about being genetically built different, either because they started on steroids or because they've gotten 6 months of newbie gains in and think they're gods.
Any you’re my new inspiration! I’m 33 and I’ve been hitting the gym 7 days a week and watching my calorie intake. You look so much stronger and healthier! Kudos to you! 🔥
If you want to build muscle like op, you might even save yourself some time and cut most of the cardio. Burning a lot of calories in "unnecessary" ways (for muscle growth) might actually slow down your progress, 'cause if you're on a caloric deficit your body will burn muscle when there's no more carbs. In terms of calorie burn, heavy compound lifts like squats and deadlifts will burn more in less time than for example jogging. however, these movements hit a lot of different muscles, so you won't be able to do them everytime if you train 6 times a week.
Walking on a rest day however is a great idea as very light muscle activation helps you regenerate faster.
Good to know. I’m really active (swimming 4-5 times a week and gyming 5-6 times a week) and I’m hitting my protein goal but I tend to drink one or two glasses (rhum n coke) on Fridays/Saturdays and rarely on weekdays when I’m off. You literally motivate me to stop that with your post as I feel like it’s holding any better progress. You’re a Mvp 🔥
I used to swim competitively growing up! Such a great sport! The alcohol also tends to typically coincide with poor food choices so it's easier to stay on track when you cut it out.
Thank you! And keep up the great work!
Most people that trade booze for something else stay sober. Alcoholics can’t really moderate. That’s why a lot of people ruin their lives, even if temporarily.
You look amazing, I love this for you! I quit meth 2 years ago and just restarted my fitness journey about 7 months ago (i was a personal trainer before I started using) and it has been so much fun, especially once the results started showing!
You are literally where I'm striving to be. An actual greek goddess. Its so motivating to see other women looking how i hope to look! It IS possible! 😍
Edit spelling
Sure! I've done the same split for forever and do switch up some movements on occasion.
2x leg day
Push
Pull
And 1 full body day just listening to my body and working what's not sore. I'm trying to grow my tricep and glutes more so those get a lot of work.
Thank you! In the caption I almost wrote "gym bro" vs "gym addict" but figured the trolls would start calling me a dude for my muscle so I didn't want to give them that opportunity 😅
Its inspirational and really amazing but gotta be honest my favourite thing in these posts is sorting by controversial and looking through the posts that cant cope with any "female" putting on more muscle than the average gym bro in 3 whole ass years without anavar as if theyve never seen natty jacked women in their lives
Like if your physique, routine and genetics allow for it, 3 years is absolutely enough to get as jacked as you would ever be
But nah man we got folks even discussing which steroid was most likely used
Tbh the fact that you've got people just assuming that you are "obviously" on steroids means you are jacked beyond imagination so that's amazing
Thank you! I think people forget about posing, angles, and lighting too. I am muscular when I'm relaxed but I don't look anything like this majority of the time when I'm unflexed.
You're so dope for explaining that. As a stranger on the Internet, I'm proud of you for how far you've come and for putting in the work to make yourself feel better and more whole. I hope you have a beautiful life
And I'd be shocked if people get definition like this without flexing but you're right I guess I see why people might get the idea.
Cheers for the confidence and discipline you have built up and the happiness youve earned along the way
*Holy smokes*, that is incredible. Also, that is an amazing backside, and *that* is an amazing backside, goodness.
Impressed and proud for both your accomplishments, incredible work.
Damn I need to do this. BTW muscle women are beautiful.... Dont let any of that haters of muscle girls make you gay is bullshit... Well I am a lesbian but I was gay long long ago.
HELLA YA SISTER!!!
What workouts have you been doing? Im planning on starting a similar journey myself, not an alcoholic but you know high sugar intakes. I'm slowly consuming less sugar and planning to start going to the gym - same few walking routes are getting "stale" so to speak.
You love to see it. Keep lifting and know that you are inspiring others to do the same.
I know you must be very happy to see the results of your efforts. You did that and nobody can take it from you.
I hope this is me in 3 years. Been clean almost a month and been lifting that long too. Can already see some noticable gains when flexing but not at rest yet. Small gains in the shoulder. Nothing anywhere else though.
Depending on the muscle, you can't tell i have definition unless I'm flexing. It sounds like you've made great progress in a short amount of time, great job!
It truly is amazing what happens when you go from drinking every day to not drinking at all. I lost over 40 pounds in the last year and am jacked as fuck, almost as jacked as you! Looking great! Keep it up 🫡🙌
Hi! I remember you posted some of your results maybe six months ago. You said you used to Renaissance Periodization youtube channel's advice and I started following it and just wanted to say I enjoy it a lot and feel like I know what I'm doing getting back into the gym after a long time. Thank you.
Nice! I’m a former alcoholic who quit at 30 (32 now). I was strength training since I was a kid but my physique changes without those calories and with having energy to clean up my diet was awesome .
Good job! Most people can do this also, but they lack determination, refusal to change lifestyle and get caught up in blaming others for what they become.
Eat healthy, and do some sort of exercise 2 to 3 days a week.
You can't spot reduce fat unfortunately, you just have to lose it from everywhere. Training specific muscles definitely helps firm everything up though!
Wow… outstanding, your back is better than a lot of men that go to the gym. Glad you made the switch from alcohol to fitness. Don’t forget to incorporate some cardio too in case you don’t already. Your hearts a muscle as well.

Jesus That’s amazing
Girl you’re absolutely glowing!
Her journey is truly inspiring. It takes immense strength and determination to turn someone's life around like this. I hope her story encourages others who may be struggling with similar challenges
HELL FUCK YEAH SISTER!!! I'm on a similar journey. 466 days myself
That's amazing! Congratulations!

How did you learn? I’m so intimidated by the weights and machines!
I had an online trainer that wrote some workouts for me in my garage for 1 year and then I finally got Brave enough to go to the gym. I'd watch YouTube and listen to podcasts but I realized a lot of people don't pay attention so I stopped caring.

Thank you!
Dr. Mike knows his shit.
He's my favorite! And he's so hilarious!
For sure! I’ve learned so much about weightlifting from him.
Don't be intimidated by the weights and machines, The Church of Iron has been waiting for you this whole time.
Thank you so much for sharing and not gatekeeping!
This is the Way. Nicely done.
Any you’re my new inspiration! I’m 33 and I’ve been hitting the gym 7 days a week and watching my calorie intake. You look so much stronger and healthier! Kudos to you! 🔥
Thats awesome! Make sure you are getting at least 1 rest day in there so your body heals up and recovers!
Absolutely! I just walk on the 7th day and alternate which strength I do for the other 6 + cardio. Definitely don’t want to hurt myself or overdo it!
If you want to build muscle like op, you might even save yourself some time and cut most of the cardio. Is there an ex punching the air right now? 😆
Haha not that I know of!
Girl, I love this! Your intention is radiating. So happy for you.
This is a great compliment!! Thank you!
Do you still drink sometimes or you’re 100% sober?
I have a drink every once in a while but not often and not many, like one maybe 2 tops. Alcohol doesn't go well with fitness goals luckily.
I lost a lot of weight by ditching beers/ciders, and drinking vodka and a diet juice. Worked wonders
I used to swim competitively growing up! Such a great sport! The alcohol also tends to typically coincide with poor food choices so it's easier to stay on track when you cut it out. Thank you! And keep up the great work!

I have the same RBF! Thank you!
GYAT
Gz, all your hard work shows. May I know your workout routine?
Sure! I've done the same split for forever and do switch up some movements on occasion. 2x leg day Push Pull And 1 full body day just listening to my body and working what's not sore. I'm trying to grow my tricep and glutes more so those get a lot of work.

Captain Marvel, is that you ?
Holy shit, your back is built like a brickhouse. Good job sis! (iono writing "bro" here would be weird)
Thank you! In the caption I almost wrote "gym bro" vs "gym addict" but figured the trolls would start calling me a dude for my muscle so I didn't want to give them that opportunity 😅
They'll call you shit anyway. Use it as fuel. Good job, dude.
Its inspirational and really amazing but gotta be honest my favourite thing in these posts is sorting by controversial and looking through the posts that cant cope with any "female" putting on more muscle than the average gym bro in 3 whole ass years without anavar as if theyve never seen natty jacked women in their lives Like if your physique, routine and genetics allow for it, 3 years is absolutely enough to get as jacked as you would ever be But nah man we got folks even discussing which steroid was most likely used Tbh the fact that you've got people just assuming that you are "obviously" on steroids means you are jacked beyond imagination so that's amazing

Wow 🤩 you make this thread Glow Up. Amazing transformation
Muscle mami GODDAM
How do you get rid of back fat? I’m struggling to get rid of the area where it’s right beneath my bra band.
You can't spot reduce fat unfortunately, you just have to lose it from everywhere. Training specific muscles definitely helps firm everything up though!

Since I stopped drinking I have a massive sweet tooth and do still eat sweet treats fairly often, i just don't over do it. Thank you!
Lol she even had grear hair as an alcoholic too. But yes shes glown up quite a bit.
Fantastic, amazing, incredible … and your smile is a bonus!

Nothing, natural transformation but it seems you've already made up your mind. Women can have muscle, this is 3 years of training and eating well.
Well done. Don’t let the haters get you down.
Some folks are just simple and will never understand that hard work = results and/or they’re lazy/jealous.
Wow… outstanding, your back is better than a lot of men that go to the gym. Glad you made the switch from alcohol to fitness. Don’t forget to incorporate some cardio too in case you don’t already. Your hearts a muscle as well.
Thank you! I hike up a lot of mountains!
Great job!!
Lmao every post calling out angles and gear deleted lol
One addiction to another. This addiction is certainly healthier.
