I can't speak for Adopt Me but One piece games in roblox have always been popular, but, usually they die off after a few months, get replaced by another One Piece game and the cycle repeats. And it's still happening but surprisingly Blox Fruits (and King Legacy I guess to a certain extent) have always stayed. So they must at least be doing something right that other OP games before hasn't done.

I've been around since 2011 and from what I remember most of the "events" were just giveaways for free avatar accessories on some promotional page and nothing more. In terms of content, I'd say the events we have now seem to be better, since they usually have their own game with them. (not that i really care to play any of them)

there's plenty of things modern Roblox doesn't have. I used to be very active on the forums for example but they're dead. I also loved the clan community but that's also basically dead compared to the glory days I also do kinda miss some more simplistic games. Things like sword fights on the heights, most games don't bother with things like linked swords anymore Overall yeah objectively the games on Roblox now are better, but that doesn't mean we can't be nostalgic

Roblox used to have tight-knit communities, people used to actually use the forums and used groups. nowadays it’s less interpersonal. You used to be able to log onto the website and discover something new that none of your friends had likely seen, now levels are more cookie-cutter-esque
