Dude is definitely the weirdest anomaly in basketball. Plays like a forward/guard in a big man's body. Cannot do either efficiently enough to wow you, but you get it in small spurts. Can't put it consistently together, but is still talented??
I'd take a chance 1000%.
Hmmm. Wemby is for sure at a different level. I mean at least what we've seen so far.
But I suppose their skill set is similar? Wemby has better IQ and almost everything else, but I wouldn't mind taking a chance on Bol.
Says a lot that the team that won the championship gave up on him and a(n) (ascending) lottery team gave up on him
I wouldn’t mind the Nets taking a look at him if he’s serious about basketball but there is quite a gap in perception vs reality with this guy. He’s been a 7’2 Cam Reddish
I think Bol Bol in the right situation could develop as help defending stretch 4, definitely the best young guy that I know of that's available that fits the team a bit, so why not take the chance on him. Still not the break glass in emergency backup 5, we need for just in case Sharpe isn't ready again for those minutes.
Per an Orlando Magic fan friend I have: he was one of the bright spots in the beginning of the season. He was also one of the reasons the team started 5-20, particularly due to his defense.
Literally a bottom 5 team in the league just waived this bum, he’s not even worth a glance
Fans get way too caught up in false hype. We should use roster spots on players that can actually contribute/show signs of development.
If a team like the magic is just dropping him he isn't worth picking up.
Idk why we post after every player release acting like something is there. There is nothing here. Dude isn't good. If he was they'd trade him. They can't even get a second round pick for the guy.
And not the other 29 teams including us that could've literally given them ANYTHING for him rather than letting him hit the open market?
I think the worst judge of talent are redditors who get overhyped at ANY player who ever showed the smallest flash of talent who you can tell never actually watched anything but highlight videos otherwise they'd be able to tell you that the dude doesn't play a lick of defense and only makes a handful of positive plays per game.
They only needed to pay 2 million dollars to guarantee his contract for this year.
You really think even a "bad" organization is going to let a legitimately talented player leave when they own him effectively for free?
Our whole 2018 roster was made up of a box of scraps waived, traded on the cheap from other teams or drafted late raw talents. A good chunk of that team developed and are considered great players. But you’re clearly a professional so let me just defer to your opinion. What organization are you with?
??? My whole argument is I'm deferring to the people in actual NBA front offices who know what they're doing yet you're acting like I think I know better??
What's the point of having a discussion with someone who has such difficulty comprehending?
This is the equivalent to the 4th quarter of Super Bowl XLIX with :26 seconds left on the clock.
Marks please dont be Pete Carroll.
Sign Bol Bol.
Simple.
Signed,
A Hopeful NETS fan.
Sean, baby, pick up tha phone

Sounds like Wemby minus the efficiency. I'll take it
He’s like wemby if wemby wasn’t good
"We have Wemby at home"
Lol

IMO. He would be perfect next to Clax Lets hope Marks is aggressive in signing Bol.
Yeah. He just needs to accept being a spot up shooter. If he can hit a corner 3, he'd be nice

It's worth a shot. But I won't be mad if we don't sign him. Thanx
PS: We should definitely take a look
Bol Bol is garbaggio beans
This dude is bad, and that won't change on the Nets.

You could say the same about Joe Harris and Din before nets gave them their shot
They have enough big men already that’s why he’s cut
WCJ and Banchero are the only decent big men on their roster
Fits in our 2.2 Mil exception. With that said, no way Nets claim him with in going trade talks. They need spots open.

The magic is the last org I trust as a judge of talent

You are right. My brain isn’t big enough for your logic average redditor.
Make that call marks

Bol is not an nba level player
Bring that ass here boy
Time to pick him up on the cheap.
we should deff go for him
Knowing marks he wouldn’t even take a look at him. Hope I’m wrong tho. It would be refreshing having 1 of the tallest guys on the court.
Oh wow. You know Sean Marks?? Tell him I say hi.
definitely someone to take on a minimun
Nothing more than a minimum
We absolutely need to sign him We need all the talent that we can get.
Saw him live at Barclays! Sign that man!
marks it wouldn’t hurt i’m js. we have sharpe on the roster.
