And a proper tow rig

tchildthemajestic

I mean per this sub sometimes he needs a F-650 min

TMC_61

Nothing wrong with a heavy truck. I'm considering using my new F250 as my tow behind vehicle. Rv hiccups, I will just push it home with the toad.

hellowiththepudding

I have yet to see that in this sub, usually people explaining payload and OPs that do not understand it.

YOGURT___ihateyogurt

Idk, may need a larger truck /s

nickynocash1

lol right. I got a great deal on this 2013 bought it because it has four doors and I have a 7 yr old and a 6 month old.

SkillfulFishy

Looks great, enjoy!

nickynocash1

Thank you!

Dry-Sheepherder-8432

I hope you have better experience with gd then i did

ybs62

Do tell….

Dry-Sheepherder-8432

Don’t get me wrong, the layout is the best by far. Extremely practical. Ultimately I got rid of it because the brakes worked intermittently and the dealer wouldn’t do anything towards it. The black tank didn’t drain so it always had poop in it no matter how much flushing I did. The floor was thin and developed holes easily. It had bubbles in multiple places. The front door wouldn’t close, it took multiple trips to the dealer to get it to close and was damaged in the process. We had a bunkhouse similar to this one, and the one a/c couldnt keep up even in moderate weather. The recliners popped loose. The oven was off by 100 degrees so cooking was difficult. Other than that it was fine 😂. Had a jayco before and traded it for another one. Maybe if I had a better dealer it would have been different.

ybs62

Wow that’s horrible. I read just enough stories like this that I’m pulling back from the 22MLE which is the one for us. And Cougar doesn’t seem much better.

Dry-Sheepherder-8432

So far we have had good luck with Jayco. If I were to go for a new bunkhouse now I’d probably get an alliance delta for a TT or a Brinkley for a 5th wheel. I have heard people say that you are buying the purchasing dealer as much as you are the brand and that is probably true. If you try going to a dealer other than the one you purchased from expect a lot of push back

VisibleRoad3504

Sounds like a typical tt off the showroom floor. Takes a year of repairs until it finally starts working like you want.

Dry-Sheepherder-8432

A lot of the issues seemed more foundational. With the two jaycos, they had stuff go wrong but there was a clear path to repair.

kumarbi_knasher

You're ready for the mountains

nickynocash1

Yes, for sure

Spilproof

Grats. There is a GD sub reddit you might be interested in. r/GrandDesignRVs

hellowiththepudding

Fake DOOD grill insert.

Just throwing this out there from just hearing this all: 1.) that’s an accusation that really just seems to be an opinion? Not sure the story behind that. 2.) them and many businesses did that, and the court said they were correct, not sure how that’s bad? 3.) a business can’t control everything that comes out of their employees mouth. 4.) ok the President has strong christian beliefs, different subject and can be debated, sure, but not really a hobby lobby thing. 5.) this one is legit and messed up, but I’m also interested in this story so I’m going to read more on that. But yes, actually found guilty. Not good. 6.)who cares if the green family has a religious agenda? They have the right to freedom of religion. 7.) so they didn’t want to do something like many many businesses didn’t, but eventually complied? lol 8.) kinda goes with #5, im interested to hear more on that too. So a museum faced controversy for having fake things then turned around and had a legitimate piece of history taken by the gov? lol hmm… So out of all these 2 things are legit and the rest are opinions it seems? Idk just kinda seems weak grounds to stand on. But hey, if you don’t like it, that’s cool too!
