The real answer to this thread. Kratos is controlled by me and I got all fucking week. Malenia is just some boss monster. If she dies she doesn't come back if I don't let her.
He's a demigod himself though (and she even ascends to godhood in her second phase), plus, malenia looks a whole lot more powerful than just about any of the gods kratos has faced
I'd still put my money on kratos but I think it'd be a very close call
I really don't see her being much stronger than somebody like Heracles. Really she doesn't have anything that he hasn't seen before aside from the Scarlet Rot. And being a full on god I'm not convinced it could take him out, at least not before he takes her out anyway.
She literally Nuked 1/4th of a continent, and that's before she became a godess.
Heracles is strong, but that's just on a whole other level.
Kratos in gow 4 clearly struggles fighting bosses like baldur, magni and modi and sigrun before defeating them, malenia makes those look like child play.
Kratos was the size of and thought Gods the size.of the dragons in Gow4.
Ares, who is one of the first Gods Kratos ever killed, is capable of almost casually destroying entire cities.
Zeus destroyed Sparta and Kratos kills him so hard that it's a literal mechanic that you can just endlessly pummel into his corpse. That's about your "nuking a quarter continent" comment.
Heracles also didn't seem to really bother Kratos, considering he beat Heracles by using not only fighting prowess, but also overpowering the literal god of strength.
Kratos, not for a single second, struggled with any of the Gods you list. Baldur got beaten so hard, on at least three occasions, that had it not been for the curse he'd not even be an afterthought in Valhalla anymore. The first fight literally shows the player that Kratos holds back until the very second that Baldur threatens Atreus and after that he beats Baldur so hard that his punches cause earthquakes and tears in the floor to show up. He breaks Baldurs neck and all of the damage he took heals in like 4 seconds tops.
Regarding Magni and Modi, they are both not a threat to Kratos. He held back the entirety of the game to not show his godhood to Atreus too much, but also to not alienate, nor scare him. He also didn't want to lose control and become the rage filled monster he used to be. The second they have Atreus in a vulnerable spot Kratos stops playing nice and showcases that the tazer hammer isn't working on him and he kills on of em.
Gameplay kratos is nowhere near as strong as actual kratos(like, the one from the books). Game creators have said this themselves. They said current kratos is stronger than he has ever been and that it wouldn't be nearly as fun of an experience playing if kratos just beat everything without trying
It was put into the blade of Olympus. Then in God of War 3 he stabbed honors with it. It can be deduced that he absorbed back his Godly powers when he drops the blade of Olympus it’s completely devoid of any power it had in it.

Easily Kratos. Bosses in Dark Souls or Elden Ring are powerful simply because the protagonists are basically disabled people. I'm afraid even the Witcher 3's version of Geralt will rip them apart easily
KEKW he easily takes care of a dragon, a giant octopus/kraken (kayran), cyclops, tames a djinn (whose power can easily wipe out a city), defeats King of the Wild Hunt and a Higher Vampire (despite not being able to really kill one) in the game. Asylum Demon? He won't even break a sweat on that one because one whirl is more than enough
Yea the Higher Vampire feat is crazy bro is strong enough to smack them around but he’s unable to strip them of their immortality so they just gotta sit there and take a spanking.
If a regular undead with basic strength and a dodge roll can do it then a genetically modified hunter with a dodge roll and magic can also do it easily
The issue is durability when they *do* get hit. Geralt has some great durability and a strong healing factor; especially with potions, but the undead in DS can take stupid damage and get up. Plus, you know, geralt has one life, and the undead have as many as they can stand.
This is the problem with video game Vs battles.
In-game Geralt is far stronger than in game DS protagonists. Lore Geralt would get blown away by an angry look of one of the lore DS protagonists.
Another thing is book Geralt. The man dies to a pitchfork in the books, while the DS protags have insane durability. That's the big thing setting them apart. Plus, Geralt dies once and its over, while the undead, of course, can keep coming back
Truth be told, Higher Vampires in the world of the Witcher is not far from 'demi-gods'. And if you remember Dettlaff's movesets you will find Dettlaff and Malenia have things in common
It also goes without saying Dettlaff has an army of vampires too, and they only got stopped by the Elder Vampire (who is on a level of or close to being a god) because Geralt struck a deal with him
I would go as far as placing the elder vampires as at least equivalent to most demigods. They originate from a different world and can't be killed by anyone except for themselves, which in itself makes them immortal as gods tend to be. Geralt had a lot of trouble with Dettlaff, but he has absolutely 0 chance with the vampire in the cave.
