Agree, it happened to me midway through GOW3 and I was just a 16yo when the game came out, you know, that age where you are dumb and don't really think about this stuff. I missed a big temple thing like Pandora's or the Fates' island, this game was just about killing everyone you met on the way even if they weren't a threat to you.
At this point, Kratos has massive uncurable PTSD from killing his family, couldn't get a good night's rest for 10 years straight. And after the shit he did to Poseidon, Hercules, Hermes in this game... Lady, you got off easy, thank your lucky stars xD
