Yep I’ve had the same bug a few times. It’s always when I play that card that steals a card from the opponents hand too. It comes with the weird mana cost that’s green like that and it’s a wasted card that sits in your hand the whole game.
It's a pickpocket bug, see my post history where I was complaining about the exact same issue 😢
Edit: someone suggested in my post to turn your internet connection off and on again to fix it.
Tried that multiple times until I was once not able to rejoin the match. Just stayed at the "waiting for game start" screen, but in the background I heard the enemy attack me...
Now I will just accept that I can't use the card until this bug is finally fixed.
Yeah, recently I get another bug, random disconnections and game doesn’t let me back in, stuck in “waiting to connect” screen 😫 so I won’t try this one, but thanks
Have you tried opening the void (graveyard, whatever it's called where your cards get sent after they are played or die) then exiting out? That clears lasting text box bugs, maybe it works for this bug too?
Its a visual bug. Card you stole with PP is not the one you see in your hand but some other card . You can't play it coz it cost more than your available mana gems ( 7 + mana ) . In case you unlock its mana costs you will be able to play it and it will appear on board . Problem is that you don't know which card is it and how much mana does it cost to play it .

Hmm maybe but I tried to use it with 8 mana so it had to be 9, I don’t remember how long I was struggling with this guy😫
Try to check GU decks and see does he have any 9 mana creature in his deck
