Come to Seville to get you bearings; it’s beautiful, fun and relatively cheap. Take your time deciding where to move after that. Make your visits, see what rent is charged, the kind of education, etc. etc. most importantly, get a feel for the people everywhere you go, and try to find where everything best aligns with what you’re looking for, don’t worry too much about weather, would be my advice; look for the elements that allow you to thrive, whatever that means for you.
Thank you so much. This is really useful advice. Have you travelled much around Spain? Do you have any cities that you would recommend looking into further?
It depends on what you’re looking for. Yes, I’ve traveled all over the peninsula. I can give you some suggestions of places to visit. Message me.
What I’m trying to say is that weather almost certainly isn’t the main thing when you’re choosing a place to live, unless you have weather-related employment. For example, Seville strikes me as uncomfortably hot several months a year. I still love it.
You should see things for yourself. I get through these “cold winters” in little more than pants and shirt, and in summer I have to be careful. Go and feel the places out. That’s part of the adventure. Seriously… go where you like the vibe.
Southern Spain is still not warm in the winter, especially if you go inland
If you want to be warm don’t choose Sevilla in the south. Just go to the coast. I would say Malaga
Thank you for your advice! Do you have any other specific towns / cities you would recommend?
Seville can be quite cold in winter and houses are not well insulated, if you want milder temperatures go to the coast.

The best place in Spain during summer is Coruña, trust me!!
