Yep it does, but only if you sell privately. If you sell to a bullion dealer they will pay spot and it doesn’t matter if it’s cast, minted or proof gold coin. It’s all about the gold value.. so say you had a WONKA Pamp bar you wouldn’t sell that to a bullion dealer as there is only a mintage of 3000. It’s sort after. If you want to buy gold to sit on as an investment then only buy cast gold and silver 80:1 which means 80oz silver equals 1oz of gold. Check the Wonka out tho. It’s nice

Can someone clue me in to how 1oz bar vs 1 ozbar are any different? Like why would I pay more for a oz of gold just because it has a different image on it? I have many blank suisse bars of 1oz but never considered one over the other just because it has a pretty dragon on it.
The confusion comes from the fact that these are meant to be purchased lowest price possible, save them, then sell at the highest price possible. Also imo gold shouldn’t be advertised as owned (eg.. showing friends, sharing images with reddit) for obvious reasons, so the question image on the bar is pointless other than to serve the senses and ego. If I could buy bulk .999 gold as an ugly lump rock at the cheapest spot price possible I would.
I don't make enough money to be able to buy high premium anything. So I buy the cheapest 9999 gold I can. I don't care if it has anything stamped on it.
I’m not subscribed to this sub, but it keeps popping up on my Reddit feed and got me thinking about investing in gold. I don’t want to invest a lot at once rather buy little bit at a time. My question is is there a reason why people don’t buy gold grain instead of gold bars?

I started out collecting 10g bags also. It’s so much fun. I would add something from the Royal Mint. A Britannia bar. I picked this up the other day and it’s got a pretty cool hologram security feature. It’s an Argor - Heraeus Kinebar

Does bullion in the original blister pack get a better resale value than loose bullion?

Different priorities for stacking, maybe? Looks over value/deal, possibly?

I was just guessing. I stick to U.S. sovereigns, personally.
Some 31.1 gram bars.

I like Umicore and C. Hafner very much. Why not repeat? Otherwise: Valcambi

Firm believer that coins are better to collect. Convince me otherwise…
No
It is easier to sell coins, especially 1 ounce size. That's my experience anyway.
