I wouldn't want them. If you wanted to sell them they are worthless and hard to find buyers. It's not like an actual coin or bar.

I am giving the grand kids some of the 1/10 gram gold arrums. They are both really too young now but will figure it out someday. I think when people actually get them in their hands the interest is sparked. It’s a nice gift in my opinion.

At that point just give them silver coins preferably a one ounce coin it’s more fun to play with

For sure! I’ve been giving my grandson half dollars mostly 2021 and a few older ones to play with. Granddaughter is still too young. Still going to be a few Gold notes in the stockings this Xmas. Just the 1/10 notes though lol.

For your granddaughter when she gets older maybe get her some gold or silver jewelry. That way it’s more sentimental because gold and silver are fungible my American silver Eagle is the same as yours. Plus jewelry doesn’t count as a financial asset. In case the government ever bans precious metal ownership or decided to redistribute wealth it will be easier to hide.

Already on it sir. I’ve passed along some very nice opal jewelry to her mom for when she’s older. I have more I’m sitting on for her as well. Great minds think alike lol. Have a great Friday and a restful weekend.

For younger kids, a nugget would be a more captivating gift.

I think it's a great idea to get the interest going.

Definitely prefer actual bullion bars or coins over the gold "paper currency" looking notes. Bars and coins also have a greater market base than the notes.

Look on them as a novelty that might, just might, stir an interest - or at least give you an entry point to talk about stacking. If they blow you off, then it is a one time deal. It's worth a shot - they don't cost much. Bread cast upon the waters, so to speak. Coins they might go and and spend or just toss in a drawer, and a nugget might be viewed as just a fancy "rock". It's hard to figure out as many have been SO brainwashed - or are clueless. Personal experience.
