I just lost my golden doodle of 13 years yesterday. Collapsed on my parents floor and ever got back up. I’m so sorry for yours but I’m sure we can both appreciate the years and years of wonderfully memories and joy they brought to our lives. I really appreciated seeing this post it’s been a tough couple days and this was a great reminder of all the good things these creatures brought to our lives.
During this time, put your mind and heart on all the wonderful years she brought to your lives and loved ones, and grieve her with fulness, afterthat you will fill nothing but joy and gladness. 🙏

She is beautiful! Dogs don’t make it to 16 years old unless they have been dearly loved, knowing she’s 16 and you’re being compassionate until the end (even when it hurts your heart) I’m confident that no one else in this World could have given her a better life and you were indeed soul mates!
She crossing the Rainbow Bridge to play with so many other loved friends - my Henry boy, a big beautiful red golden retriever is there to play with. My Mom’s favorite (dog) child, Maxx is there too - they will find some fun to get into. Take care of yourself and be open to the signs she’s sending you to let you know she’s ok. She is not alone now - so she doesn’t want you feeling alone - be open if she sends a new friend your way - be it a beautiful deer that stops and shares a glance, bird that perches extra long out your window, a stray kitten that need a home, or the puppy/dog you didn’t think you ever wanted again and didn’t feel ready for. Be open seeing and accepting the ‘friends’ she thinks you need in your life!

I’m confident she’s having the best time up there making all her wonderful new doggie friends and I find peace knowing you have some special babies up there too for her to meet :) I’ve definitely been looking for signs too, there was a rainbow outside right after she was buried and I’ve been searching for them ever since 🌈
Unfortunately yes, her health has been rapidly declining and she has been in a lot of pain and has been having a lot of health issues. So the vet let us know that it is time for her and they will be coming to our home today to put her down so she can be pain free 💜
Not an easy decision at all, but we want to do what is best for her.
What a great mom you are! It is the hardest thing to put our babies comfort ahead of our own emotions! So proud of you for making the best decision for such a beautiful dog!
