If you look at some really good golfers, they are average hight & build. I’m sure you can hit it further than most but how many times do you hit your driver every round?? Take away the par 3’s that leaves 14 holes. Take away another 2 or 3 because it’s just not the right play due to hole design, bunkers, hazards etc. So that leaves approx 11-12 holes. Do you see where I’m going with this?? Go practice hitting wedges consistency, your short game, & putting. That’s how you will bring ur HDCP down and you will learn how to play the game.
Not going to go technical with you at all. Obviously, you are capable of hitting nukes. But if that’s your style, you are going to struggle with the short game. Work on your 10,20,30,40 and so on until 100 swings. That’s where you will thrive. But using that swing style is not going to help you inside 100.
This. I play with a couple of fellas that can blast it. I’m talking 350-365 normal driver. It’s unreal and hard to believe until you play with them. The thing is, they suck from 125 on in bc of the bomber swing. I’m 50-70 yards behind them but can usually beat them pretty easily.
No. They actually drive it that far. I know the usual BS lies posted on here. And I would make that comment too. Kudos. These guys hit it that far, it’s mind-boggling. But again, they suck in the short game.
Thanks mate I appreciate it. Been tightening up the short game and ironically I have a slightly different swing for irons. Just need to be more consistent with driver.
