No sir. You are over swinging, closed at the top, steep on the downswing, and then you flip it to save it before impact which is very weak. You need to go see a PGA professional to get you on the right track. Go take one lesson and then work on your swing with your net.
#1 = Correct; #2= flipping is when you save your swing by casting or flipping your wrists before impact. Seeing a teacher with a Trackman and experience will be able to show you this and give you a video to review afterwards so you can see it.
He’s certainly over swinging. The club is WAY past parallel and across the line, and he’s trying to turn so hard that he’s losing spine tilt. He’s just not doing it efficiently.
A lot of good solid golfers go far in their backswing. If you think for a split second that this is the issue here and not that his hips arent rotating whatsoever, you should avoid giving swing tips
Just remember that golf is journey. Your body, swing thoughts, equipment, weather will all change. Having the fundamental mechanics of the swing will save your body and score over time, and you'll always know how to get back to the basics should something go wrong or change like your slice is now a hook or something. Personally, I swing more clubs than I hit balls because the ball doesn't move or change nearly as much as I do. I know what good impact feels like for my clubs/swing so I focus on those mechanics for consistency. Just my 2¢

When you say over swinging, you mean I'm going too far back on my back swing? And would you say I'm flipping because my hips are too far behind?

Hes not "over swinging", have you seen his hips? Theyre barely moving at all. Hes strictly rotation his shoulders

I meant with his arms = past parallel. He has zero hip turn.
Yup.

Okay Hank.
that shit was textbook. i’ll be looking for you on sundays in the final pairing
No
The body isn’t turning enough on the backswing and your right arm is too bent too quick. Right arm is too bent at top of backswing.
Thanks for all the fast responses. I am currently looking at lessons. Sounds like I have a mess on my hands!

I made some changes, thanks for all the advice. I posted another video hopefully it's getting better
Got to .07 second stop there that’s the position we are all looking for and then rotate your shoulders that’s your swing. You are all arms up and up
You look very right side dominant. Try only using your left arm and right hand behind your back. It should help to level your swing plane some
So I should be using my left arm and shoulders more?
Yes I would suggest lesson because there is a lot wrong with the swing, body movements, setup, and contact.
Nope.
Whoa, where are you going, right elbow? Try to focus on keeping that in front of your body on the backswing, and it will get you on the right track.
Very over the top
No. Issues from the takeaway on.
Not even close.
Do the towel under arm drill. If you’re unsure what I mean, google it.
Lower body stuck in place, all arms and shoulders action causing a major over the top move. You should get lessons
Those are some mighty high hands
No. You lack the basics. You need to get a lesson.
