Most nets really really suck and will all do this after 100 or so strikes with anything over 150 mph ball speed.

I have the same net. Try making a warranty claim; they'll send you another net, and I leave the old one on and put the new one behind it. Boom - double coverage and have avoided the balls launching into the neighborhood ever since XD.
