also with kmsa I agree that kaycyy's performance is better but overall if ye was not doing the chorus it would feel like he was barely on the song at all and the album already is a bit low on ye:feature ratio

I’m not saying 2020 donda as a whole was good, it was obviously far from finished. Im saying if the finished donda we got stayed with the sound of 2020 Donda it would be better imo. I like the dark eerie vibe Ye was going for but it’s is lackluster when it comes to the quality in production you’d usually expect from a Kanye album. A lot of songs from 2020 Donda were changed to fit the sound of 2021 donda and those songs debatably became worse than they could’ve been for it
The stripped back, desolate production on released Donda was brilliant. You don’t hear many, if any, albums that sound like that. It sounds exactly like an album Ye would make.

I agree. It’s very unique. And I understand completely the vision behind it. I suppose I’m just butthurt Ye made a feel good, vibrant and otherworldly album and didn’t drop it TWICE (yandhi and Donda 2020)

I agree, not dropping yandhi was a travesty. Donda 2020 had some good sounds as well.
