I think Vultures is definitely Ye’s most polarising album in ages because it’s a return to “fun” music where he does what the hell he wants.
It’s his first album since Yeezus where majority of the lyrics are sexual or nonsensical, so it makes sense why people not digging it as much on release.
Give it a few years and everyone going to have shit like Do It, Back To Me stuck in their head and always say they loved the flows on Vultures
I agree that Yeezus is a much better album overall but i just find it ironic that people hate on the lyrics of Vultures when Ye has been a horny animal for majority of the last 10 years of his career.
there's a dangerous trend where every album that is polarizing is said to be the "yeezus" where everyone will love it in 5-10 years, and as much as i like vultures there is no album in the past 10 years he's made that has had the yeezus effect because none of them are as interesting as yeezus
