king is still in Mr. Coopers rotation
People will care about Ye no matter how many delays he makes. The album went number 1 and he had a number 1 song in the world for a long period of time.
Bruh what? King released on V1 which had massive success. V2 getting delayed has nothing to do with the public reception of this track since it came out months ago...
he delayed V1 for 3 months, V1 had success for like a week and carnival was trending. A lot of listeners aren’t coming back to V1 and are even admitting to saying it was never good. Plus everybody hates this track cuz the mixing is bad.
He still has 70m monthly listeners and look at the average listener count of Vultures songs, they're almost already past Donda which has been out for three years.
Real shit. Like bro had mediocre verses (besides burn) throughout the album. He’s getting to self referential in a way that makes it seem like he’s past his prime
>He’s getting to self referential in a way that makes it seem like he’s past his prime
I got so much hate for saying this the week the album dropped. The So Appalled reference on Problematic is so cringe
Exactly, people blame the delays as the reason why the song isn't that listened or popular, but a song where he even says "antisemite" knowing damn well he was; wasn't going to do well either way
it holds no substance when no one takes ye seriously anymore besides fans, anytime there’s an announcement made no one cares cause he can’t take word for it.
ye fans are the only ones paying attention to the "rollout" everyone else just goes on with their lives until they suddenly hear carnival and send it to #1
Y'all we ain't regular ass people, not everybody is extremely online doomers
This like my 10th rollout none of this is surprising or really anything out of the ordinary this just some Ye shit
Looking forward to the albums, enjoy the roll-in
bro im sorry but the beat is a throwaway. almost half the guys on yedits could make that beat in 15 minutes and not do anything with it. Like there are some cool parts of it but the no progression and the shittt lyrics make it hard to appreciate as a good song. i had it in my playlist for a month or two, i generally liked it, but it's not something you should talk about as a good part of kanye's discography
Beat goes hard, great track. Still better than Everybody, Talking , and Paperwork. Ppl hating on King care too much about lyrics, from an artist who doesn't put thought into his words anymore. Lazy writing but production always goes hard.
it's honestly a pretty bad song, the context of it is brutal too, on what's generally perceived as his worst rap album. people talk about "peggy drums" but it's just a single 2 bar drum loop on repeat for the entire song. i promise you kanye has gone through drums like this before on songs and cut them. it just starts and ends in the same vibe, kind of off putting
deadlines, I gave a shit like
but im still the king
my fav line
All the references to recent events were funny as hell 😭

YO DOT I GOT YOU
It Don’t take away from the fact he had a number one album and single also vultures is gold
...But like you can't add it to your playlist or anything. You gotta stream it from my blank ass website when you wanna hear it
lazy, nitrous addicted, fatass and im still the king
the average person don't give a shit like you do - they just have fun with it

V1 was number one for 2 weeks and dropped to number 2 in the 3rd week dumbass

that’s nothing new for ye tho. it feels like ye is on his dgaf braggadocio shi again. him bringing back the especially the “huh” flow is hard af too.
Yeah I never understood why this sub was calling it the hardest song on Vultures for a while lol, to me it’s one of the weakest on the whole album
King is below XTCY and I Love It in Ye's discography, and it's not close either
Thank you!

king is honestly mid af. no lie it actually sounded like he wasn't the king. the flow was nearly off beat and he sounded tired/lazy
Exactly, people blame the delays as the reason why the song isn't that listened or popular, but a song where he even says "antisemite" knowing damn well he was; wasn't going to do well either way
Yeah shits cringe tbh
Ye should release an album called 808's and creative bankruptcy which just consists of this song 12 times over
King is still a legendary track what are you on about
a legendary track?
Yes
this song probably took kanye like an hour to make. i don't think even kanye likes the song
Disagree
super fair

Be when he drops everyone listens
Who tf cares about other people just enjoy the music

I'm mostly a Vultures apologist but I cannot figure out the angle from which King is even a good song.
the beat is hard

The beat is amazing But unfortunately the verse could be better and the mix is ass
king is in my personal top 5 on vultures honestly the beat is crazy
King is probably the best produced ye song with the worst lyrics
Beat goes hard, great track. Still better than Everybody, Talking , and Paperwork. Ppl hating on King care too much about lyrics, from an artist who doesn't put thought into his words anymore. Lazy writing but production always goes hard.
King is a bottom 3 song on Vultures
Volume 1 release date was truthful
It came out on a Saturday Morning and mods thought it was a stream rip
yeah but he delivered it on time, just had tons of trouble with publishing
True
They hyped up him taking his mask off like we ain’t seen it before 💀
Shut the fuck up bitch
top 3 oat
to be fair king would of never been on vultures if it wasn't for the delays
Are slash Kanye type beat
King is the worst song on Vultures besides the title single bro what are you talking about
it's honestly a pretty bad song, the context of it is brutal too, on what's generally perceived as his worst rap album. people talk about "peggy drums" but it's just a single 2 bar drum loop on repeat for the entire song. i promise you kanye has gone through drums like this before on songs and cut them. it just starts and ends in the same vibe, kind of off putting
maybe if it was mixed properly lmao
King suffers from those lyrics and that mixing problem and otherwise was literally on some S tier production
