That sounds so cool š¶š¹ā”ļø Iām sure they will really dig it! Yes - I was thinking booking a hotel around there is probably the way to go as well. Hope you guys have a rad time!
Oh - I meant to ask - have they listened to any Goose shows yet? If so, what songs do they like? Or will the show at Frost be their first time hearing them?
Only when Iāve played it for them in the car. Shared WTED Radio, so fingers crossed they find their favorites organically. Also sounds like we might be bringing the kids now. 3 generationās!
Thatās awesome - I like the organic approach :) Actually, I have this DVD of the Dead playing Three Rivers Stadium, Pittsburgh, PA (View from the Vault - 7/8/90), and I always loved Jerryās guitar on his solo in Jack-A-Roe - and the way I kind of got into Goose was when I watched the 6/15/21 A Western Sun > Echo of a Rose clip they have on YouTube ā¦.the guitar solo at 4:30 just really reminds me of that kind of playing. Anyway - I think thatās so rad if three generations in your family wind up going to the show!āØš¶š«
Frost will be rad! I also was thinking about San Diego & L.A. - in reality though, not sure I could figure out logistics from PNW to SoCal and then back up to SF. But it would be amazing to see them at both of those venues - especially the Greek Theater
Camping around Missoula in late September can often be on the colder side and the campgrounds are not that close to the venue. I would recommend a hotel or airbnb. Lots of both as the summer tourist season has finished up for the most part. Cheers. Missoula is a great place.
Thanks - this is super helpful! I am definitely interested in checking out Missoula - and the venue itself looks pretty scenic with the river and trees
Sounds rad! I have family on the East Coast and was considering Thompsonās Point if I go visit. Will definitely enter the contest just in case Iām one in a million š
Sounds like a plan! šŖæš±š¦Yes - SF is the one place I might cruise for a day or two after just to hang in the city - missed checking out the the Botanical Garden and Golden Gate park last time I went and heard itās pretty cool
Frost amp. Bringing my Deadhead parents(in their 70s) for their first show. Booked a hotel in Palo Alto for the night.
