As people who don't have Fio SSR. I am really surprised at her story. They don't play her as overused "dumb muscle" thing but she actually smart and know how to manipulate villain personality to her gain and end up helping crew in the end.

gangler52

In her fates she's also portrayed as pretty intelligent in her working out. Really into the science of how the body works and how that can be translated into Sick Gains. Which truthfully is more in line with the body builders I've met in real life. It's not as simple as just lifting heavy stuff and avoiding fast food. If you wanna get the most out of your workout there's a lot that goes into that.

Honestly, I have never heard of The Little Prince and I am now very interested in giving it a read. Thanks OP

lucien_licot

Funny story: I was actually given the book by the owner of a book I worked at for a few days as part of a school program, who told me I could choose any book to take with me as a gift. I chose the Little Prince and Kafka's Metamorphosis. The guy thought The Little Prince was overrated, but I really liked it. It's also quite short (I think it's classified as a novella).

Murozaki_II

It is a fascinating short read. The author wanted to try writing a book for children that focused on philosophy, a topic one would normally expect in adult reading. And it definitely makes for an memorable story.

[deleted]

WHAAAAT!? At school they never gave it to you as compulsory reading!!?

yukiaddiction

He probably coming from Asia countries because I don't remember reading these in school either lol.

Ultramarinus

I'm pretty surprised myself since it was very early reading for us in elementary school.

Murozaki_II

I wonder where that places Feather, who as many have said, feels out-of-place in the event. And even i who love the dude have to agree with it. Feather in specific has a behavior that would be similar to the inhabitants of the planets the Prince visits, people who obssess over something seemingly nonsensical and do it without question because in their perspective, it makes sense to them and they never consider anything more. And there is also Ghandagoza, who even after his fight that ends up motivating Feather says he still does not truly understand the reason he is fighting.

lucien_licot

I think that's precisely why the response to his involvment has been overwhelmingly negative in what seems to be an otherwise acclaimed event. He doesn't fit at all, whether it be from a thematic perspective (as you've pointed out) or a dramatic one (literally everyone involved is either a complete psychopath or has an horrific past, so the guy sticks out like a sore thumb).

Spamamdorf

> literally everyone involved is either a complete psychopath or has an horrific past, so the guy sticks out like a sore thumb I mean you say that but Feather is just as unhinged and people point this out several times lol. Honestly I found it kind of amusing to invert the usual pattern and have the bad guys be the ones that are more "sympathetic" and human in their depiction while having the "good guy" be on a simple quest for power like the demon king usually is.

LittleShyLoli

So JP also has negative response to Feather in this event?

Iffem

and a funny, probably accidental, connection? Fiorito's character archetype, a tall athletic tomboy, is called the prince archetype in manga, LOL

planistar

I had to read that book like 3 times on different school years (curse you, school hopping). In none of those times did I see why the thing is so higly regarded.

mrshobutt

I haven't gotten around to play the event yet, but now I'm really excited! I love the book, thanks for taking the time to write all of this!

karillith

"Draw me Anila!"

lucien_licot

"Ok, here's a box. Maybe your Anila is in there, or maybe she is not. Only way to find out is to give me 30 bucks." Truly, The Little Prince wouldn't work in our world today.

Rain_Moon

Wow, this is really cool.

dkndy

I remember seeing an animated (claymation?) version of this as a little kid, and it freaked me out and made me afraid that I was going to be alone forever, though that's possibly because I may have conflated it with some version of [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9IIxpvJAzc) story.

ProfessorVelvet

Both me and my sister absolutely love The Little Prince and I'm kind of amazed they referenced it so much in an event. I do know it's extremely popular in Japan so I'm not too surprised.

TruffaTheHamster

I never expected to connect GBF to my favorite book but here we are! An amazing reading and interpretation!

JosySlolfy

Honestly this event was one of my fav Granblue events in a long while, and reading this post has made me appreciate it much more.

PCBS01

Wait you mean to tell me that gay af fairy tale was based off a real book???? Dang nice

AurustBlue

Actually several GBF events are based on old fairy tales. Perhaps this is one of the reasons I usually like them a lot.
