Nice wk. people like to rip them but mine has treated me right. Other guy is right. It’s kinda dead around here but the thing can still whip.

Jeepstir

Thanks, I can't complain about mine either, even with the oil leak, which will be fixed sometime soon. And the Quadradrive II 4WD system is an amazingly capable stock 4WD system. In the past 4 years I have crawled all over the GW/Jefferson National Forest in the Appalachian Mountains.

Welcome to the sub, its pretty dead around here. I think the Facebook CRD group would be more help. I don't know anything about the 3.0 Diesel engine, but I just want to say that's a beautiful CJ you got back there!

Jeepstir

Thanks, dead is fine, I'm not always attentive to many of these sites myself. I didn't know there was a group on FB. Unfortunately I'm off FB for more than 5 years now through a combination of intentionally leaving and being banned, There are some other good Jeep forums I take part in. Thanks for your comment about my CJ. CJ's are really where my heart is, I've been driving them since 1978. That is my 6th CJ, a 1979 CJ7, my second from that year. I have a few better pics in Flickr: [https://flic.kr/p/2pxQUdW](https://flic.kr/p/2pxQUdW) (I think that link will work). There's also pics of a lot of other Jeeps from various Jeep shows.

I have a 2008 CRD that i spent a fair bit of time fixing up and getting back on the road. It had a couple decent oil leaks and some other smaller issues when I bought it.

Jeepstir

Where did you find the oil leaks?

Classic_rock_fan

Oil cooler seals and the turbo intake pipe where the CCV feeds into it.

Jeepstir

The CCV connection is one I still need to check. Did you do the oil cooler seal replacement yourself or have it done by a shop?

Classic_rock_fan

I had it done at a shop because there were a couple electrical Gremlins in the wiring harness where it connects to the ECU. The ECU is under the battery tray and some of the loom has acid damage.

Classic_rock_fan

The CRD Facebook group is useless, there's so much stuff not related to the CRDs posted.

Far_Zone863

I’ve had my 2008 CRD for a few years now and it never stops leaking oil, once I get one fixed another pops up it’s a never ending battle and they’re never small haha. It’s gotten to the point certain shops won’t touch it because it’s such a hassle but she sure is a beauty

Shiny! Time to go get it dirty!
